Avec Intel Ice Lake, les composants sont largement améliorés, et de gros progrès ont été faits. La fréquence de rafraîchissement de 208 Hz est relativement faible, les personnes les plus sensibles devraient percevoir un scintillement et être sujettes à une fatigue oculaire accrue (avec le niveau de luminosité indiqué)

Avec le nouveau Spin 5, Acer propose un convertible équilibré, très performant. On peut presque sentir à quel point le fabricant a optimisé la série au fil du temps.

On peut se plaindre du lecteur de carte qui est lent - et qui n'accepte que les cartes micro SD. L'utilisation de la MLI à une faible fréquence, pour contrôler la luminosité, peut devenir problématique pour les utilisateurs sensibles.

Il y a cependant de nombreux points positifs : l'écran fait partie des meilleurs, le convertible est toujours silencieux et presque toujours frais, le Thunderbolt est doublement de la partie, etc.

Il est notable que l'Acer Spin 5 est le résultat d'optimisations continues de la part d'Acer. Il paraît très équilibré et fait presque tout bien. Mis à part le contrôle de la luminosité par MLI, il y a peu de raisons de se plaindre.

Nous pouvons recommander le Spin 5 sans arrière-pensée. Pour l'instant, il coûte 1 209 €. Ceux qui voudraient un appareil plus puissant et toujours une bonne batterie devraient regarder du côté du nouveau HP Envy x360 AMD Renoir, qui coûte encore moins cher ! En revanche, les PC portables AMD ne proposent pas le Thunderbolt 3...
