HP delivers mobile broadband, good battery life, and multimedia amenities aplenty in an eye-catching design. HP delivers yet another strong notebook with the thin, lightweight, and feature-rich Pavilion dv2500t, a travel-friendly thin-and-light machine that gives users multimedia amenities, solid endurance, and fingerprint security. Add 3G mobile broadband to the mix and you have a productive and fun machine that will keep you connected and entertained on the go. Weighing in at 5.6 pounds and measuring just an inch thick, the Pavilion dv2500t features HP's trademark high-gloss Imprint finish with Radiance design, which adds a subtle, eye-catching pattern to the notebook. Although the aesthetic isn't as awe-inspiring as it once was--mainly because other vendors have started copying it--it's an attractive system. We liked the nicely sized Touchpad with a built-in scroll strip, fingerprint reader, and quiet-click mouse buttons.

Battery life was disappointing, with the standard six-cell lasting just 2.5 hours, almost an hour shorter than average. A Pavilion dv2000t we reviewed last year ran more than 7 hours with an optional 12-cell battery. Though our testing methods have changed since then, it's a fairly safe bet that the battery upgrade is still well worth the extra $49, providing the added benefit of raising the wedge-shaped keyboard to an even more comfortable typing angle.
All in all, Pavilion fans and converts alike should be happy with the dv2500t, as long as they opt for the better battery.

With the Pavilion dv2500t, HP brings Intel's latest Centrino Duo platform to its popular 14.1-inch home laptop. Aside from the new components, much remains the same: the sleek, black-and-silver case still houses most of the features that a home user will want, all at a competitive price (the base configuration costs $950). The price is so competitive, in fact, that our review unit cost at least $360 less than similarly configured systems from Dell and Gateway. At that price difference, we're willing to overlook the Pavilion dv2500t's merely average battery life--you can easily buy an additional battery with the money saved--and recommend it for home users who want an inexpensive, media-friendly laptop. We've always been fans of the HP Pavilion design, which combines sleek, rounded edges with a shiny (though somewhat fingerprint-prone) black-and-silver finish.

The Hewlett-Packard Pavilion dv2500t is on the verge of cutting-edge notebook technology at the moment. It's one of the most popular laptops since the inception of the Santa Rosa platform, being the evident successor to the well-received dv2000t. I've been holding out to buy a Santa Rosa notebook for the new Nvidia GPUs that support DirectX 10 because integrated graphics just don't cut it for me. Even after stalking my notebook via FedEx's tracking system and agonizing over the fact that it arrived at my city's distribution center on Friday night, but knowing that I would not get the notebook until Monday morning, I was very impressed with HP's speedy build time. My notebook was ordered on June 6th and originally set to ship on June 20th, but to my surprise the big conglomerate shipped my notebook straight from Shanghai on June 15th. That made it five days early and does wonders for customer satisfaction.

The DV2500t is a good solid successor to the previous DV2000t series laptop. The difference is not night and day, but incremental in most areas. I still feel as though the DV2500t gives you the best bang for your buck, with good build quality, reliability, and the included standard features. People could try to compare Lenovo or even HP’s NC series, but this is a consumer laptop, meant for the average user, and it does very well for its intended target.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) X3100: L’Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) X3100 est une carte graphique intégrée sur un chipset Mobile Intel 965GM (pour Merom = architecture Core 2). C’est un successeur de la GMA 950. Les plus intéressant c’est l’ajout d’un pipeline programmable. Grâce à l’introduction des caractéristiques DirectX9, HDR et Transform & Lighning (T&L) matériel, son prédécesseur n’avait que du T&L en logiciel – devrai être prêt pour Windows Vista Premium (supporte Aero Glass complètement). Selon nos informations elle devra être bien meilleure que la GMA 950.
Seuls les vieux jeux peuvent tourner de façon fluide sur ces ordinateurs (S'ils ne sont pas trop gourmands en ressources). Les coeurs à mémoire partagée de cette catégorie ont l'avantage d'être moins chaud et moins gourmand en énergie. Pour le bureau, internet, l'édition de photos, et le montage vidéo ces cartes graphiques n'ont aucune restrictions.

Intel Core 2 Duo:
C'est le successeur du Core Duo avec des pipelines 5-20% plus rapides sans consommation supplémentaire. Comme une addition à la conception du Core Duo là existe un quatrième décodeur, une SSE-unité amplifiée et une unité logique arithmétique additionnelle (ALU). Le core 2 duo pour ordinateurs portables est identique aux processeurs de core 2 duo d'ordinateur de bureau mais les portables fonctionnent avec des tensions inférieures et une vitesse de Frontside. L'exécution des portables également synchronisés est 20-25% inférieure à des ordinateur de bureau en raison de fréquence d’horloge inférieure de Frontside et plus lents de disques durs.

HP: HP est l'un des plus grands fabricants internationaux selon des parts de marché et des modèles passés en revue au marché allemand- et d'expression anglaise. Les ordinateurs portables de HP sont souvent en positions supérieures selon des estimations de qualité/prix.
78.5%: La note n'est pas convaincante. On doit considérer qu'il n'y a pas beaucoup d'ordinateurs portables qui reçoivent une note en dessous de 60%. Ce portable est en dessous de la moyenne, Nous ne conseillons pas vraiment son achat.
