EN→FRA rehash of a six-month-old netbook, with little additional appeal.

EN→FRAt the end of the day, the insides of the Samsung N210 aren't likely to inspire, and they weren't supposed to. Netbooks just aren't exciting kit where hardware and performance are concerned, though their purpose may need to be made more explicitly clear. Samsung loads the N210 with all kinds of irritating bloatware (hello McAfee!) and utilities that it just doesn't need; the hardware inside is already beleagured enough without having to suffer through loading all that extra crap.

EN→FRWe expect any Maximum PC reader to be able to strip out the bloatware and nagware that comes with a new PC (and may we suggest PC Decrapifier to help with that?). But we don’t appreciate Samsung’s cluttering up the OS install. On the one hand, the N210’s design is fantastic and its performance is exactly what we’d expect. And we appreciate the (albeit quirky) Hyperspace instant-on OS. But the less-than-stellar battery life and bloated Win7 Starter desktop lose the N210 some points in our book.

EN→FRThe Samsung's appeal slips a little when it comes to the 10.1in screen, however: its matte finish reduces reflectivity but also adds a grainy quality to images. Combined with muted colour reproduction, it's enough to leave the N210 lagging behind the best. Despite this, though, the N210 makes a worthy successor to the superb N110. The combination of gargantuan battery life, slick new looks and good ergonomics make it one of the best netbooks around.

EN→FRSamsung has just added to its burgeoning netbook range with the N210 -- not to be confused with the Samsung N120. This is a typical 10-incher with a 1.6GHz Atom N450 CPU, 1GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive. The N210 doesn't do an awful lot different to its rivals, but that doesn't stop it being a solid all-round netbook. Its well-laid out keyboard, excellent screen and strong battery life make it an ideal travel companion.

EN→FRSamsung's N210 will appeal most to those that want to use their netbooks outside of the home. The matte display really helps this system to be used just about anywhere. Typing is also very easy thanks to a well laid out isolated keyboard design. Note that the performance of the system does suffer a bit especially when running on batteries but this can be cahnge in the power preferences at the expense of battery life.

EN→FRIt looks ordinary enough and has largely average performance, though the extra battery life is welcome and the alternative Linux boot-up is fun. It may be that the battery life on its own will be enough to recommend it to you - just don't expect it to turn any heads.

EN→FROverall, my experience with the Samsung N210 has been nothing short of fun, cool and easy. Most importantly, I value the stability of the machine and the fact that it does not lag.It beats my sluggish and slow AIO PC by miles. The Samsung N210 is definitely a winner in my book.

EN→FRWith the N210, Samsung takes its excellent netbook range, and improves the looks and usability. Even so, it's streets ahead of the current Pine Trail-based competition, and its fantastic battery life and solid ergonomics make it worth the money. It doesn't hurt that it'll look good on the go, either.

EN→FRWe found it difficult to get excited by a netbook that barely matches earlier models in performance and feels cheaper in overall build quality to boot. It looks more plasticky than a Samsung NC10 or N110, has discernibly no more performance than them (in part, to be fair, because it’s slowed down by Microsoft’s newer OS), and we measured no leap forward in battery life than the Samsung N140 we last tested.

EN→FRThe Samsung N210, a Best Buy exclusive, is one of the better-looking netbooks we've seen, with a shiny white top, sleek chrome accents, and a comfortable keyboard. Though it isn't great at playing video, it does have fairly decent speakers. It also features an instant-on capability that allows you to get online without having to wait for Windows to start up. The Samsung N210's matte screen is easy to see in various lighting conditions, but the colors are a little washed out.

EN→FRThe Samsung N210 ($380 street) is not the flashiest netbook, nor does it pile on the most features in its category. Nailing down basic fundamentals is what makes it a viable contender in this cutthroat market. It maintains an excellent user experience, which includes a comfy keyboard, a big-enough touchpad and mouse buttons. Nothing in particular makes the Samsung N210 stand out in a netbook line-up, but it's a fundamentally sound netbook at a low price.

EN→FRThe Samsung N210 features an attractive design, a decent touchpad and good, but not great battery life. While I’m not a huge fan of the keyboard, I did find the laptop to be about as snappy and responsive as any Intel Atom N450 Pine Trail-based netbook I’ve used. The only real problem I see is that at $379, the Samsung N210 is a little pricey. Acer, Asus, MSI, and other netbook makers are offering models with nearly identical specifications for as much as $50 cheaper.

EN→FRSamsung's history in netbooks is dominated by its very first entrant, the NC10. At the time it provided clarity to a market that was still searching for the perfect formula. I Samsung continues to make all the right moves with its netbooks. While previous generation models still trump the N210 for value, among the new models it's one of the most polished and complete.

EN→FRSamsung's N210 is yet another netbook. But it is not just any old netbook. This one has some superb features that include good battery life, a great keyboard and a very serviceable instant-on operating system sitting alongside Windows 7 Starter Edition. If you are looking for a netbook and want something that is solidly made with good battery life then the Samsung N210 could be ideal. Some will find that the instant-on operating system is unnecessary, though.

EN→FRSamsung is not the first name that comes to mind, at least in the U.S., when we think of laptops or Netbooks, but the company has long had a sizable presence outside of the U.S. in the PC market. Though it has some useful software tools, there's nothing special about the Samsung NP-N210-JA02US's components or performance. At $379, it's much more expensive than comparable Netbooks.

EN→FRSamsung adds another netbook to its portfolio with an updated Atom CPU. While the N210 does little to push the market forward, it effortlessly fulfils expectations of what a second-generation netbook should be capable of. With stunning mobility, an impressive user interface and a comfortably usable screen, it makes it easy to recommend.

EN→FRThe Samsung N210 offers solid overall performance, close to 7 hours of battery life, and an attractive design. We also like the matte screen and loud speakers. However, this machine faces stiff competition from the ASUS Eee PC 1001P, which costs $80 less and lasts nearly 90 minutes longer on a charge. This head-turning netbook offers long battery life, a well-designed keyboard, and good sound quality.

EN→FRRather than build on the excellence of both the original NC10 and its successor, the N110, Samsung's latest netbook wipes the slate clean and starts afresh. Rather than another identikit netbook, the Samsung N210 dares to be different. A welcome redesign and impressive battery life should continue Samsung's run of netbook success.

EN→FRThis netbook's attractive design and decent battery life almost overshadow its mediocre performance. It's not often that budget gear says "look at me!" right out of the box, so the Samsung N210 was a pleasant surprise once we unpacked it. Priced at $379 (and available exclusively at Best Buy), this netbook has an attractive design and comes loaded with extra features that other budget-level netbooks lack.

EN→FRWe weren't surprised to see the N210 sail past Samsung's previous netbooks. It is one of the best of the current crop, with great battery life and a comfortable user experience. It's a very solid performer, and only let down by the quality of its screen and speakers. All that the NC10 has left on its side is its price tag: the N210 beats it hands down in every other area.
