The R580 had some serious pros and some serious cons. It's priced really well for what it is, and its specifications are worthy of praise. But the real-world performance just wasn't there (application loading, specifically). We felt that the CPU really shined during intensive tasks, but we would've preferred a more snappy desktop experience to go with it. Also a 64-bit OS should have been included since it ships with 4GB of RAM, and we would've preferred a somewhat less vivid design.

I liked the touch of subdued colour of the unit, the battery state indication on the underside was an innovative feature, not so sure about the always on USB port as I only got four hours of life you could merrily charge several devices and find your notebook was flat. The Samsung R580 notebook is the first full notebook from Samsung that I've had the chance to review and overall I must say I'm pretty happy overall with what it had to offer. This notebook can be found online for ~$899 CAD which put it up against a ton of other competition but we found that thanks to all of the features Samsung has included it makes the R580 a pretty great "All-Around" laptop. Is the Samsung R580 the ultimate gaming laptop?

Comment
Samsung: Le Groupe Samsung est composé de nombreuses entreprises internationales, tous unis sous la marque Samsung en Corée du Sud. Le sens du mot coréen Samsung est "tristar" ou "trois étoiles". La marque Samsung est l'une des plus grandes marques de la Corée du Sud. Samsung est un fabricant de portables, de taille moyenne selon les parts de marché et les revues.
Ces cartes graphiques de milieu de gamme peuvent faire tourner tout les jeux récents de façon fluide. Les jeux gourmands ne peuvent être joués qu'avec les détails réglés sur moyen.
NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M: La Nvidia GeForce GT 330M succède à la GT 230M et un peu plus rapide que la GT 240M.
Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.
NVIDIA GeForce 310M: La GeForce 310M succède à la GeForce G210M avec une vitesse équivalente (shader +30MHz à 1530MHz).
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) HD Graphics:
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570: GPU de classe inférieure moyenne qui dispose d'un faible nombre de shader et un bus mémoire 64 bits, mais une grande fréquence d'horloge. Similaire à la Radeon 4550 d'ordinateur de bureau. Supporte Avivo HD et DirectX 10.1.
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470:

Intel Core i5:
520M: Le Core i5-520M n'as que 3 Mo de cache L3 (comparé au I7-640M) et une fréquence de 2.4 à 2.93 GHz (Turbo Mode). Avec l'Hyperthreading, 4 cores sont gérés simultanément. La carte graphique intégrée (GMA HD 3150) et la RAM DDR3 sont dans le package.
430M: Le Core i5-430M est un dual core avec 3 Mo de cache L3 (comparé au I7-640M) avec une fréquence entre 2.26 et 2.53 GHz (Turbo Mode). De plus, VT-d, trusted Execution et l'encodage AES ne sont pas sur le 430M. Mais avec l'Hyperthreading, 4 cores sont virtuellement actifs. la carte graphique intégrée (Intel HD Graphics cadencée à 500-733 MHz) avec un contrôleur mémoire DDR3.
Intel Core i7:
720QM: Le Core i7-720QM est le Core i7 Quad Core de 2009 le plus lent: entre 1.6 et 2.8 GHz (grâce au mode Turbo). Il a l'avantage sur les logiciels optimisés pour plusieurs processeurs mais un peu moins bon pour les application mono core. Comparé aux autres Core i7 mobile, le 720QM ne possède que 6Mo de cache L3.
Intel Core i3:
15.6: Les écrans de 15 pouces sont la norme et sont employées sur plus de la moitié de tous les portables.
La raison pour laquelle tant de personnes possèdent des écrans de taille moyenne: cette taille n'est pas épuisante pour les yeux, n'a pas besoin de trop de courant et les ordinateurs portables peuvent rester tout à fait compacts.

Ce portable est comparable à la masse des autres ordinateurs portables, c'est un poids moyen.
2.6 kg:
80.46%: Cette note est moyenne, Car la quantité de portables avec de meilleures notes est à peu près égale avec le nombre de portables avec de moins bonnes notes.
