Déséquilibré. Étant un petit acteur du marché, Fujitsu fait face à un âpre combat sur le marché des stations de travail mobiles. Parviendra-t-il à faire de son Celsius H780 un concurrent crédible face à Dell, HP et Lenovo ? Cela va s’avérer difficile, le Fujitsu Celsius H780 accumulant les faiblesses dans nos tests.

Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion)

Afin d'abaisser la luminosité de l'écran, certains ordinateurs portables font varier très rapidement le rétroéclairage entre éteint et allumé. La fréquence à laquelle le rétroéclairage s'éteint et se rallume est normalement fixée à une valeur qui permet de rendre la variation indétectable à l'œil nu? Si la fréquence est trop basse, certaines personnes peuvent être sujettes à une fatigue oculaire, des maux de tête ou même percevoir les variations.
Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion) décelé 20830 Hz ≤ 60 Niveau de luminosité

Le rétroéclairage de l'écran scintille à la fréquence de 20830 Hz (certainement du fait de l'utilisation d'une MDI - Modulation de largeur d'impulsion) à un niveau de luminosité inférieur ou égal à 60 % . Aucun scintillement ne devrait être perceptible au-dessus de cette valeur.

La fréquence de rafraîchissement de 20830 Hz est élevée, la grande majorité des utilisateurs ne devrait pas percevoir de scintillements et être sujette à une fatigue oculaire accrue.

En comparaison, 51 % des appareils testés n'emploient pas MDI pour assombrir leur écran. Nous avons relevé une moyenne à 9554 (minimum : 43 - maximum : 142900) Hz dans le cas où une MDI était active.

Le marché des stations de travail est un terrain difficile pour Fujitsu, le fabricant japonais comparativement petit devant faire face à des mastodontes tels que Dell, HP et Lenovo. Sans l’ombre d’un doute, le Fujitsu Celsius a des qualités. Mais si l’on prend en compte ses défauts, ses concurrents font tout simplement mieux…

Un des points forts du portable Fujitsu est sa sélection de ports, avec du VGA, deux Thunderbolt et un port mécanique pour station d’accueil. Le clavier est plutôt bon, et le châssis reste toujours frais, même en cas de sollicitations. De même, le PC est facilement évolutif et sa maintenance est aisée. Sa batterie est même externe, et donc facilement remplaçable. Et sa garantie de 3 ans est appréciable.

Malheureusement, l’appareil possède beaucoup de défauts. Le châssis est plutôt robuste, mais ses finitions ne sont pas parfaites, et il est gros, plus encombrant et plus lourd que les concurrents. Le bouton de pointage, en série chez les concurrents, n’est ici disponible qu’en option. L’écran de l’appareil n’est pas vraiment mauvais, mais sa luminosité et la couverture des espaces colorimétriques sont décevantes. Et il y a des fuites de lumière. Le plus gros problème du Fujitsu Celsius H780 reste son système de refroidissement très gênant, les deux ventilateurs tournant trop souvent et trop fortement. Et malgré cela, le throttling du CPU est important dans les stress tests, pouvant même intervenir dans un usage classique au quotidien.

Le Fujitsu Celsius H780 possède trop de défaut - les concurrents font tout simplement mieux.

Le Fujitsu Celsius H780 est loin d’être un désastre, mais nous en attendons plus d’une machine à 2 500 €. Les concurrents, tels le Lenovo ThinkPad P52 et le Dell Precision 7530, ont plus d’arguments en leur faveur.
