Le Swift 5 SF515-51T d’Acer est un portable ultra léger fait pour ceux qui se déplacent beaucoup et qui ne veulent pas se passer d’un écran de 15,6 pouces.

Juste inférieur à 1 kg, l’appareil ne se remarque pas vraiment dans le sac - pas de douleurs aux dos avec lui !

Afin d’atteindre un poids aussi léger, Acer a choisi un châssis en magnésium et diverses restrictions. La RAM, le SSD et le module Wifi sont soudés sur la carte-mère, ce qui signifie qu’aucun de ces composants peuvent être changés. Il faudra donc choisir avec soin la quantité de stockage dont on aura besoin pour les années à venir. Au moins, il y a un emplacement M.2 2280 libre, qui permettra d’ajouter un disque NVMe ultérieurement.

L’appareil est équipé d’un processeur Whiskey Lake Core i7, suffisamment puissant pour la bureautique et Internet. Malheureusement, le Swift 5 n’exploite pas totalement tout le potentiel de ce CPU en cas de sollicitations prolongées, surtout avec les sollicitations multithread. Ceux qui veulent la machine la plus puissante possible feraient mieux de regarder ailleurs.

le Swift 5 possède un clavier honnête avec un niveau de rétroéclairage, et une autonomie assez bonne. L’écran tactile IPS nous a laissé une bonne impression. Il possède des valeurs de contraste et de luminosité classiques, et ses couleurs sont plaisantes. Mais il faut savoir que c’est un écran sensible aux reflets. Idéalement, Acer devrait proposer un écran mat sans fonctionnalité tactile

L’Acer Swift 5 SF515-51T est en concurrence avec le LG Gram 15Z980. L’Acer est largement le vainqueur en ce qui concerne le poids - le Gram offre en revanche une meilleure autonomie et un meilleur choix de ports. Ces deux éléments pourraient faire pencher la balance en faveur de l’appareil LG pour beaucoup de clients potentiels. Qu’Acer parvienne à garder un tel poids dans ses versions futures du Swift 5, tout en améliorant l’autonomie et la sélection des ports, et les choses deviendraient plus compliquées pour le Gram.
