Nouveaux atouts, vieux défauts. Nous avions annoncé en janvier 2017 que Dell avait planifié de proposer le Vostro 15 5568 avec d’autres processeurs et une carte graphique dédiée. La configuration est maintenant disponible, et nous allons voir si ce portable d’entrée de gamme équipé d’un processeur Intel Core i7-7500U et d’une carte graphique Nvidia GeForce 940MX est à la hauteur de nos attentes.

Le temps de réponse d'un écran mesure la rapidité à laquelle l'écran est capable de changer une couleur pour une autre. Un temps de réponse élevé se traduit par une image floutée pour les objets en mouvement. Les joueurs bénéficieront de faibles latences d'affichage en jeu.

L'écran montre de bons temps de réponse, mais insuffisant pour du jeu compétitif.
En comparaison, tous les appareils testés affichent entre 0.8 (minimum) et 240 (maximum) ms. » 17 % des appareils testés affichent de meilleures performances.
Cela signifie que les latences relevées sont meilleures que la moyenne (24.8 ms) de tous les appareils testés.

L'écran souffre de latences très élevées, à éviter pour le jeu.
En comparaison, tous les appareils testés affichent entre 0.9 (minimum) et 636 (maximum) ms. » 51 % des appareils testés affichent de meilleures performances.
Cela signifie que les latences relevées sont similaires à la moyenne (39.5 ms) de tous les appareils testés.

Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion)

Afin d'abaisser la luminosité de l'écran, certains ordinateurs portables font varier très rapidement le rétroéclairage entre éteint et allumé. La fréquence à laquelle le rétroéclairage s'éteint et se rallume est normalement fixée à une valeur qui permet de rendre la variation indétectable à l'œil nu? Si la fréquence est trop basse, certaines personnes peuvent être sujettes à une fatigue oculaire, des maux de tête ou même percevoir les variations.
Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion) décelé 26000 Hz ≤ 20 Niveau de luminosité

Le rétroéclairage de l'écran scintille à la fréquence de 26000 Hz (certainement du fait de l'utilisation d'une MDI - Modulation de largeur d'impulsion) à un niveau de luminosité inférieur ou égal à 20 % . Aucun scintillement ne devrait être perceptible au-dessus de cette valeur.

La fréquence de rafraîchissement de 26000 Hz est élevée, la grande majorité des utilisateurs ne devrait pas percevoir de scintillements et être sujette à une fatigue oculaire accrue.

En comparaison, 51 % des appareils testés n'emploient pas MDI pour assombrir leur écran. Nous avons relevé une moyenne à 9268 (minimum : 43 - maximum : 142900) Hz dans le cas où une MDI était active.

Le Vostro 15 5568 est toujours un portable pro bon marché. Ses performances sont en phase avec son prix contenu. Ses faibles performances WLAN et son mauvais clavier pourront en rebuter certains. Et les fonctionnalités de sécurité minimalistes doivent également être prises en compte lors du choix.

Avec le Vostro 15 5568, Dell propose un portable pro bon marché et visuellement réussi. Le WLAN et les fonctionnalités de sécurité ont cependant quelques défauts.

Pour les clients potentiels à la recherche d’un portable pro bon marché, le Vostro 15 5568 reste certainement une bonne option. Il fait tourner sans problème les logiciels bureautiques classiques (présentations, feuilles de calcul, e-mails…). Mais le mauvais écran doit être pris en compte, surtout pour les logiciels 3D qui tirent partie de la carte graphique dédiée. Si les angles de vue et la couverture de l’espace colorimétrique qu’il propose vous conviennent, alors l’appareil peut valoir le coup.
