Appareil polyvalent pour professionnels ? Nous avons testé plusieurs portables de la série HP ProBook 400 récemment, dont les 440 G6 et 430 G6. C’est maintenant au tour du ProBook 450 G6, la version de 15 pouces du portable professionnel d’entrée de gamme de HP. Le fabriquant équipe l’appareil d’un processeur Intel Core i7 et d’une carte graphique Nvidia GeForce MX130. Le 450 G6 vise ainsi à être une machine équilibrée. Le temps de réponse d'un écran mesure la rapidité à laquelle l'écran est capable de changer une couleur pour une autre. Un temps de réponse élevé se traduit par une image floutée pour les objets en mouvement. Les joueurs bénéficieront de faibles latences d'affichage en jeu.

Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion)

Afin d'abaisser la luminosité de l'écran, certains ordinateurs portables font varier très rapidement le rétroéclairage entre éteint et allumé. La fréquence à laquelle le rétroéclairage s'éteint et se rallume est normalement fixée à une valeur qui permet de rendre la variation indétectable à l'œil nu? Si la fréquence est trop basse, certaines personnes peuvent être sujettes à une fatigue oculaire, des maux de tête ou même percevoir les variations.
Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion) décelé 26040 Hz ≤ 40 Niveau de luminosité

Le rétroéclairage de l'écran scintille à la fréquence de 26040 Hz (certainement du fait de l'utilisation d'une MDI - Modulation de largeur d'impulsion) à un niveau de luminosité inférieur ou égal à 40 % . Aucun scintillement ne devrait être perceptible au-dessus de cette valeur.

La fréquence de rafraîchissement de 26040 Hz est élevée, la grande majorité des utilisateurs ne devrait pas percevoir de scintillements et être sujette à une fatigue oculaire accrue.

En comparaison, 51 % des appareils testés n'emploient pas MDI pour assombrir leur écran. Nous avons relevé une moyenne à 9354 (minimum : 43 - maximum : 142900) Hz dans le cas où une MDI était active.

Le HP ProBook 450 G6 est une machine tout ce qu’il y a de plus ordinaire. Il ne brille nulle part, mais ne possède pas non plus de véritable défaut. Mais HP a fait plus de compromis qu’avec sa série ProBook 600.

Mais tout n’est pas si terne que cela : le SSD est exceptionnellement rapide, comme son Wifi. Nombre de composants peut être changé, même si leur accès est plus compliqué que ce qu’il était sur le ProBook 450 G5.

Le HP ProBook 450 G6 est un portable de 15,6 pouces compact et léger, qui fait bien les choses. Mais notre modèle ne possède pas un bon rapport qualité / prix, et ne se démarque en rien de la concurrence.

Le ProBook 450 G6 ne peut tirer pleinement profit de son Core i7-8565U, et rend donc la version Core i5-8250U plus intéressante. De plus, les ventilateurs qui vibrent gêneront certains utilisateurs - dont nous sommes. L’écran aurait également pu être plus lumineux, et les ports plus modernes. En bref, le ProBook 450 G6 est un solide portable pour les professionnels qui s’avère décevant dans plusieurs domaines.
