Courte critique du smartphone RugGear RG850

Design acceptable. Alors que la plupart des smartphones d’extérieur ressemblent à une brique, RugGear a donné au RG850 un look plus discret qui le fait plus ressembler à un smartphone classique. Le fabricant n’a cependant pas sacrifié les fonctionnalités pour en arriver là, ce qui est impressionnant. Lisez ce rapport de test pour voir si le RG850 peut se différencier de la concurrence et s’il est performant.

Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion)

Afin d'abaisser la luminosité de l'écran, certains ordinateurs portables font varier très rapidement le rétroéclairage entre éteint et allumé. La fréquence à laquelle le rétroéclairage s'éteint et se rallume est normalement fixée à une valeur qui permet de rendre la variation indétectable à l'œil nu? Si la fréquence est trop basse, certaines personnes peuvent être sujettes à une fatigue oculaire, des maux de tête ou même percevoir les variations.
Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion) décelé 781 Hz ≤ 25 Niveau de luminosité

Le rétroéclairage de l'écran scintille à la fréquence de 781 Hz (certainement du fait de l'utilisation d'une MDI - Modulation de largeur d'impulsion) à un niveau de luminosité inférieur ou égal à 25 % . Aucun scintillement ne devrait être perceptible au-dessus de cette valeur.

La fréquence de rafraîchissement de 781 Hz est élevée, la grande majorité des utilisateurs ne devrait pas percevoir de scintillements et être sujette à une fatigue oculaire accrue.

En comparaison, 51 % des appareils testés n'emploient pas MDI pour assombrir leur écran. Nous avons relevé une moyenne à 9338 (minimum : 43 - maximum : 142900) Hz dans le cas où une MDI était active.

Temps de réponse de l'écran

Le temps de réponse d'un écran mesure la rapidité à laquelle l'écran est capable de changer une couleur pour une autre. Un temps de réponse élevé se traduit par une image floutée pour les objets en mouvement. Les joueurs bénéficieront de faibles latences d'affichage en jeu.

Le RugGear RG850 est un efficace smartphone du milieu de gamme qui se distingue de la concurrence surtout grâce à Android stock. Alors qu’il est un petit peu moins performant que les appareils de notre comparatif, il est néanmoins assez fluide même dans les applis exigeantes. L’appareil photo, l’écran et le Wifi sont également en retrait, sans être trop mauvais.

Le RugGear RG850 est un smartphone du milieu de gamme correct, qui parvient à être plus fin que ses concurrents sans sacrifier les fonctionnalités ou la qualité de construction.

La finesse du RG850 est un autre point qui le distingue des autres smartphones durcis. L’appareil ne paraît pas aussi encombrant que nombre de ses concurrents, et tient bien en main malgré son écran de 6 pouces. Le RugGear RG850 est donc une proposition intéressante pour ceux qui veulent un smartphone capable de survivre aux chutes et aux mauvais traitement sans avoir la taille et le poids d’une brique…
