Il ne dispose que de 128 Go de stockage interne – aucune autre option n’est disponible à l’achat. Ce qui peut être limitant pour certains utilisateurs. Notez néanmoins qu’un port microSD est présent. Le stockage UFS 3.0 est un peu moins rapide que le UFS 3.1 des générations plus récentes. Et le Galaxy S20 n’est bien évidemment pas compatible avec les réseaux 5G. Reste qu’à notre avis le Galaxy S20 n’est vraiment pas cher en 2022 ce qui en fait un bon plan dans certains cas. On le trouve en effet très facilement nettement en-dessous de 400 € ce qui place la proposition très favorablement face à de nombreux smartphones milieu de gamme sortis récemment – la partie photo, notamment, sera forcément meilleure avec ce smartphone qu’un vrai téléphone milieu de gamme. Du coup on peut recommander à notre avis le Galaxy S20 si vous cherchez un bon smartphone milieu de gamme à un prix raisonnable… à condition de ne pas souhaiter de connectivité 5G.

Avec ce modèle intermédiaire, Samsung a visé le juste milieu et fait mouche. Certes, mon confrère David estime que le Samsung Galaxy S20 de base est LE modèle à choisir parmi cette dernière gamme de flagships. Et je dois avouer que pour 100 euros de moins (909 euros contre 1009 euros pour le S20 Plus), vous ne perdez qu'un capteur Tof et quelques pouces de diagonale sur l'écran (6,2 contre 6,7 pouces) avec le S20 normal.

Le Galaxy S20+ se montre finalement très convaincant. Samsung confirme son savoir-faire dans la plupart des domaines. Le S20+ est un smartphone séduisant, très performant et doué en photographie. Son format le place entre le S20, plus compact, et le S20 Ultra, bien plus volumineux mais aussi plus cher (1359 euros). Via une mise à jour du firmware, la qualité audio a été revue à la hausse et seule l'autonomie reste en berne. Si vous souhaitez utiliser un très bon smartphone sans pour autant avoir le top de chez Samsung (le coréen réserve le meilleur au modèle Ultra) le S20+ est fait pour vous. À 1009 euros (pour la version 4G) il est selon nous le meilleur compromis dans cette gamme de trois smartphones. Mais ce n’est que notre avis.

Le Samsung Galaxy S20+ reprend finalement la même recette que son petit frère, mais y ajoute un écran plus grand. C'est là, sa principale plus-value. Il s'agit sinon du même smartphone à quelques détails près avec les mêmes qualités : un design très bien soigné, un écran magnifique avec son mode 120 Hz, une interface très agréable à utiliser, une qualité audio travaillée, de bonnes performances photo et une grosse puissance brute.

En revanche, nous déplorons le fait que Samsung n’ait pas pris plus de risques. À 1009 euros (ou 1109 euros avec 5G), nous aurions souhaité plus d’évolutions entre le S10+ et le S20+. Ceci est d’autant plus dommage que son autonomie est pour le coup en baisse. Le Galaxy S20+ reste toutefois un excellent smartphone haut de gamme pour celui qui n’est pas intéressé par les promesses supplémentaires du S20 Ultra.

If you do want to stick with Android, though, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus still makes a fine choice. The display, features, battery life and performance are all top notch and, although the camera can’t quite beat the iPhone 11 Pro for all-round performance (or the pricier S20 Ultra), there isn’t a massive amount of difference. You’ll be happy with the results, either way. Ultimately, you’ll be choosing the Galaxy S20 Plus because you want the best an Android phone has to offer but can’t quite justify the £200 extra for the Ultra. If you do that you won’t be disappointed. Just don’t expect to be blown away.

The S20+ I feel is a proper successor to the S10+, and I’m even willing to switch over to it as a daily device. The 120Hz screen remains incredible no matter the battery life impact, and the cameras are still plenty good, even if not class-leading. The users in Snapdragon markets in particular end up with a device that makes very few compromises and is seemingly worthy of being a top class 2020 flagship. I just hope that Samsung will be able to resolve the camera discrepancies between the different models, as well as generally improve the camera picture quality over the coming months. If they achieve this, then I feel that the new phones would warrant their release price tags.

The S20 and S20+ are basically the same phone, aside from their differences in size, battery and mmWave support. The Plus also has an additional depth sensor on its back for slightly better portrait mode and AR effects. Are those features worth the extra $200 for the larger phone? Only if you really want a bigger screen, extra long battery and super fast 5G on T-Mobile. Verizon offers a mmWave-compatible S20, so your decision will also depend on what carrier you’re on. For most people, though the base S20 is plenty of phone. In the case of this year’s S20 trio, smaller is so much better. I felt like the Ultra was overkill when it came to size, camera features and most importantly, price. At $1,000, the S20 costs about the same as its competitors, though the S20+ still comes in at a premium. But they’re also the best-looking Android flagships around with speedy performance and long battery life. For that money, you’ll also be getting excellent displays and blazing 5G speeds where available. If $1,000 is too much for you, you might want to wait for other options like the rumored Pixel 4a or consider the S10 series, which could offer most of what you need for a fraction of the price. Right now, though, the S20 and S20+ are the best Android phones money can buy.

La plupart des jeux pas trop demandants actuels peuvent tourner de façon fluide. soyez prêts à endurer un rendu graphique assez moche à cause de la basse résolution et des détails au minimum. Par ailleurs ces cartes sont suffisantes pour un travail de bureau et le visionnage de vidéos (pas évident pour la vidéo HD).
