Lenovo avait fait une erreur avec le ThinkPad E14 de 1ère génération : passer à de la RAM mono canal pour avoir un châssis plus fin. Le Lenovo ThinkPad E14 de 2e génération corrige cette erreur. Et en plus, possède les meilleures performances jamais vu dans un ThinkPad E, grâce aux AMD Ryzen 4000.

Avec cela à l'esprit, le ThinkPad de série E reste une série à prix contenu. Cela explique la luminosité et les couleurs de l'écran, l'absence d'emplacement micro SD et la sélection réduite de ports. Les ThinkPad de séries L et T ont l'avantage dans ces domaines, ainsi que pour les fonctionnalités professionnelles. Le ThinkPad E14 chauffe aussi autour des repose-poignets en cas de sollicitations, et les matériaux utilisés rendent le châssis lourd, et l'autonomie pourrait être meilleure.

Les périphériques d'entrée ThinkPad et l'AMD Ryzen 4000 abordables : ceux qui cherchent une telle configuration pourraient avoir un choix idéal avec le ThinkPad E14 de 2e génération, pour un portable utilisable à la fois au travail et à la maison - mais certains choix faits par Lenovo pour baisser le prix pourraient être rédhibitoires...

Ceux qui sont prêts à revoir leurs exigences à la baisse en ce qui concerne l'écran et la sélection des ports pourront être satisfaits du Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 2. Les très bons périphériques d'entrée, le châssis compact et le refroidissement silencieux sont des bons points. L'E14 AMD est également évolutif, et la série Renoir d'AMD possède un excellent rapport performances / prix. Nous pouvons donc recommander le ThinkPad E14 Gen 2 aux utilisateurs les plus sensibles au prix.
