All-in-all, the Xiaomi Mi Horizon Edition 14 is what you may call a newbie's perfect way to expand their horizon. You get some really good specifications for the price that it comes in. However, if you are wondering whether the laptop can take hours of hardcore gaming, the answer is no. Of course, if you want your laptop to pretty much blast off to Mars, go ahead with it. It has the Nvidia MX350 GPU which, although very efficient, is not what can run Far Cry 6 in Ultra settings. Wait, let me rephrase that, chances are that it won't run it at all. However, if you are considering this laptop, that is not your priority anyway right? I have reviewed the Mi Horizon Edition 14 8GB RAM and 512GB SATA SSD variant and it works seamlessly, in all honesty. In addition, the Intel Core i5 10th Gen chipset pushes your laptop to achieve pretty much anything you throw at it, work-related, of course. As long as you don't do anything too intensive and cause its thermals to skyrocket, it is good to go. If you ask me, in case you want a 14-inch sleek beast that screams style and business, this is totally it for you.

The hardware in this machine allows it to deliver great in-class performance, while also giving 6 hours of battery life on moderate daily usage, a brilliant display for watching movies and getting work done. Where it loses points is with the keyboard which provides a very mushy typing experience, a trackpad that has too much play and the fact that Xiaomi couldn't pack the webcam into the display, so it has to offer a separate unit, making it easy to lose or forget. Despite the shortcomings, the Mi NoteBook 14 Horizon Edition is definitely setting a new bar for the category.

Absolutely. The Mi Notebook 14 e-Learning Edition is compact and light, its 1080p is bright and colourful, it’s fast, and even has an excellent keyboard and trackpad. And somehow, the laptop is affordable and accessible at Rs 36,999. After using the laptop for a week, I am happy with the Mi Notebook 14’s performance. If you are buying a laptop for your kid and cost is important for you, the Mi Notebook 14 e-Learning Edition can be a great option. It is a good value for money, provided the machine is designed to deliver basic laptop needs.

I would definitely have liked at least one USB Type-C port, an SD card slot, a faster NVMe SSD, and a backlit keyboard, but I think the package is reasonably well balanced overall. The Horizon Edition (Core i7 variant) is of course faster and sleeker, but it's more expensive by around 33 percent, which makes the standard Mi Notebook 14 well worth considering.

83.7% Test du Xiaomi Mi NoteBook Pro : un Core i7-11370H bridé limite un bon appareil | Notebookcheck
Le Xiaomi Mi NoteBook Pro cherche à être un mid-ranger digne de ce nom avec un châssis premium tout en aluminium, un bon écran 2,5K 16:10, et une fiche technique décente. Alors que le Mi NoteBook Pro fait définitivement le travail pour la plupart, une enquête approfondie révèle que Xiaomi n'est pas en mesure d'extraire le maximum de performances possibles du Core i7-11370H pour le prix demandé de ₹73,999 (993 $ US).

Xiaomi:

 

Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.

NVIDIA GeForce MX110:

Carte graphique dédiée d'entrée de gamme pour les portables, pouvant être utilisée avec de la mémoire graphique rapide GDDR5, ou DDR plus lente. GeForce 920MX renommée.

NVIDIA GeForce MX350: Successeur du MX250 et très probablement d'une GeForce GTX 1050 renommée, basée sur la puce Pascal GP107 avec 640 shaders et un bus mémoire de 128 bits pour la GDDR5.

NVIDIA GeForce MX250:

Le successeur de la MX150, toujours basée sur la même puce Pascal GP108 (similaire à la GT 1030 pour PC de bureau), mais avec des fréquences plus élevées. Disponible en deux versions, une version normale à 25W et une version basse consommation avec une enveloppe thermique de 10 W et des performances réduites. La version 25 W offre par exemple un gain de boost de 21 % par rapport à l'ancienne MX150, conduisant à un gain de performances de 5 %.

Intel Iris Xe G7 96EUs:

Carte graphique intégrée dans les SoCs Intel Tiger Lake G4 basés sur la nouvelle architecture Gen. 12 avec 96 EUs (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). La fréquence d'horloge dépend du modèle de processeur. Les puces Tiger Lake sont produites dans le processus moderne 10nm+ chez Intel.

Intel Kaby Lake Refresh:

i5-8250U:

Processeur quatre cœurs ULV Kaby Lake Refresh. Les quatre cœurs ont une fréquence comprise entre 1,6 et 3,4 GHz (Turbo Boost), et supporte l'hyper-threading. Le GPU intégré a une fréquence comprise entre 300 et 1 100 MHz. Le SoC est fabriqué grâce à un process 14nm+ FinFET.

Intel Comet Lake:

i7-10510U:

Processeur Comet Lake quadricœur basse consommation (techniquement identique à Whiskey Lake et toujours produit en 14 nm++). Les cœurs peuvent monter entre 1,8 et 4,9 GHz (4,3 GHz avec les 4 cœurs), avec Hyperthreading (8 threads). Le contrôleur mémoire intégré prend en charge le DDR4-2666 et en utilisant le cTDP à la hausse ou à la baisse, les performances peuvent être ajustées par le fabricant (15 W par défaut, 10 à 25 W possibles).

i5-10210U:

Processeur Comet Lake quadricœur basse consommation (techniquement identique à Whiskey Lake et toujours produit en 14 nm++). Les cœurs peuvent monter entre 1,6 et 4,2 GHz (3,9 GHz avec les 4 cœurs), avec Hyperthreading (8 threads). Le contrôleur mémoire intégré prend en charge le DDR4-2666 et en utilisant le cTDP à la hausse ou à la baisse, les performances peuvent être ajustées par le fabricant (15 W par défaut, 10 à 25 W possibles). Par rapport au i5-10510U plus puissant, le cache de niveau 3 a été réduit de 8 à 6 Mo.

Intel Tiger Lake:

i7-11370H:

Le SoC quadricœur haut de gamme basé sur Tiger Lake (série H35) est destiné aux ordinateurs portables et aux stations de travail légers et fins. Les quatre cœurs du processeur tournent à une fréquence de base de 3 à 3,3 GHz (TDP de 28 à 35 W) et à une fréquence de pointe pouvant atteindre 4,8 GHz. Le GPU G7 intégré offre 96 cœurs à 400 - 1350 MHz.
