Test du Apple MacBook Aluminum

Brique en Aluminum premier prix.

Le plus petit MacBook Alu. à 2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo, 160 Go HDD et sans écran rétro éclairé. Est-ce que cette première configuration est suffisante ou faut-il vraiment la version 2.4 GHz?

Apple MacBook Aluminium 2008

Le MacBook alu du début 2009 est dispo en deux configurations. la première à 2.0 GHz Core duo 2 160 Go de disque dur et l'autre à 2.4 GHz, 250 Go HDD, et un écran rétroaiclairé. Apple demande 300.00 Euros de plus pour cette amélioration. Apres le test de la version 2.4 GHz du Macbook, on vas voir si le premier prix est suffisant.

Boîtier

Le boîtier du Macbook aluminum est appelé "Unibody" qui donne le ton pour une génération de portables. De plus le toucher et la stabilité sont sans appel. Comparé aux autres MacBook Pro Unibody, le design du 13" est très bien adapté et fait figure de référence.

Connectivité

La connectivité est à peine acceptable pour un portable 13". La sortie vidéo propriaitaire oblige à se munir d'onéreux adaptateurs. Les seuls deux ports USB ne sont pas suffisants.

Apple inclue Mac OS 10.5.6 "Leopard" Et la suite iLife 2009 comme logiciels. Ce qui le rend pret à faire de multiples aplications multimédia et bureautique dès la sortie de la boîte (Le seul shareware reste iWork '09 gratuit pendant 90 jours).

Apple offre une garantie de 12 mois en standard. L'extension qui porte à 36 mois coûte 249.00 Euros (avec support téléphonique). Même si cela parait cher, c'est encore 50.00 Euros de moins que les générations précédentes. 

Dispositifs d'entrées

Le clavier mono-touche

Le nouveau clavier du MacBook est basé sur celui du MacBook Air et c'est le même que les MacBook Pro (15" & 17"). Les touches en verre sont extremement ergonomiques. Grâce à sa conception, le clavier vissé ne bouge pas d'un poil, ne fait aucun bruit et est très résistant à la pression. De toute manière toute la conception unibody de la machine le rend totalement indestructible.

Le clavier, et il faut le dire, est totalement adapté à Mac OS X. La frappe est parfaite. Les touches directionelles sont encore trop fines pour les joueurs (mais la plupart des gamers n'utilisent que qzsd sur un clavier azerty).

Dans ce modèle le clavier n'est pas rétroaiclairé, seule la version supérieure du 13" le possède.

Mais comme toujours, avis aux Switchers qui viennent de Windows le clavier mac est asez épuré et pour les carractères spéciaux genre { [ ± # il faudra tatôner ou utiliser le clavier visuel logiciel, mais pour le texte et internet aucun problème, il n'y a vraiment que pour les dévelloppeurs que cela est andicapant au début.

Le Trackpad est en verre!

Le nouveau trackpad est indentique aux autres MacBooks (Pro) Unibody. Ses propriété physique et les exellents drivers Mac OS X (avec multitouch s'il vous plait!). La conception audacieuse sans boutons et avec le multitouch désintègre la concurrence sous Mac OS X; sous Windows le trackpad est bien moins pris en charge, mais pensez aussi que Windows n'as de raison d'être sur un mac quasiment que pour jouer (sous BootCamp). Pensez à prendre votre souris préférée avec vous pour Windows comme pour Mac OS X(tout les boutons des toutes les souris sont très bien pris en charge sous mac).

Ecran

Mirroir, moiroir, dit moi... - Un écran avec une véritable vitre en véritable verre. Avec une luminosité max de 265 cd/m2 Ce qui était beaucoup moins que la version 2.4 GHz de nos premiers tests (318 cd/m2 et 300 cd/m2). La luminosité reste suffisante pour l'intérieur. Mais cet écran en verre reflète vraiment beaucoup.

Le contraste max de 166:1 ce qui est moins ques les autres MacBooks et l'éclairage n'est pas très homogène. Mais cela reste beaucoup mieux que l'ancient MacBook 13".

Les agles de visions possibles sont à peine inferieur au MacBook Pro, mais il reste toujours parfait sur vos genoux. Le temps de réaction est très bon dans l'ensemble.

Performances

Le chipset MCP79 avec la GeForce 9400M est aussi sur les MacBook Aluminum 2Ghz, et aussi dans les derniers MacBook blancs. 256 Mo de RAM DDR3 sont assignée à la carte graphiqe sous Mac OS X. Mais les performances sont équivalentes à des cartes dédiées (ATI Radeon HD 3450 ou Geforce 9300M GS).

Le MacBook blanc a le même principe mais avec de la RAM DDR2 ce qui tue les performances dans l'oeuf.

Crysis était jouable à 30 fps avec toutes les options au minimum et en 1024x786. Avec une résolution encore plus basse le jeu serai agréablement finit jusqu'au bout mais en mode moche.

Des jeux plus vieux comme les Sims 2 ou Spore tournent sans aucun problème avec tout à fond.

Grâce à la 9400M intégrée vous pourrez jouer à tout les jeux actuels avec quelques limitations.

Pour ce prix les PCs sous Windows ont une puissance supérieure mais la conception des mac est réellement différente.

En comparaison PC mark vantage était 10% plus rapide avec la version 2,4Ghz.

Emissions

Les températures de surfaces restent au même niveau que les modèles plus gros. Le portable reste très frais tout le temps. L'appareil est monté à 40° après un usage très intensif. Mais le repose poignet ne dépasse jamais 34°.

Crash Test

Les températures internes ne montent pas au delà de 86°C et après 8 heures de calculs extremement intensif (avec Furmark & Prime95 qui ont pour utilité de mettre tout les composants de l'ordinateur sur les genoux en terme de calcul). La carte graphique oscille entre 76 et 85°C. Et le processeur 86°C.

Bruit système

Le maximum audible est fixé à 35 dB sur la version 2.0 GHz du MacBook. Les 44.8 dB du modèle 2.4 Ghz n'arivaient qu'après une très grosse charge de calcul.

Notre dispositif de test a été encore plus silencieux que le modèle 2,4 GHz sans charge. Notre instrument de mesure a détecté 30 dB (minimum) à 15 cm devant l'appareil. Ainsi, le petit MacBook est doux comme un murmure et très agréable à l'usage quotidien. On ne peut même pas détecter le disque dur avec l'oreille collée sur la machine. La base des haut-parleurs est assez claire et (dans quelques vidéos en anglais) suffisamment fort au volume maximum. En comparaison avec les MacBook Pro plus gros, celui çi est nettement plus calme. Le son est quelque peu restrein, car les haut-parleurs émettent à travers les aérations. Sauf pour les basses, ils n'ont pas le son étonnamment bon pour leur position et leur taille. On peut dire que le système de son est très satisfaisant pour l'écoute de musique.

Vous êtes nouveau dans l'univers de Apple?

Comme pour tout les macs, les switcher de Windows doivent êtres prévenus que Mac OS X a une logique différente. Les nouveaux dans l'univers des ordinateurs en général apprendrons plus vite que sur un PC sous Windows par exemple. Vous en saurez plus dans notre test extensif des MacBook Pro sur le long terme. Pour utiliser Windows, il y a deux manières: Par émulation sous mac osx (Windows ou linux dans une fenètre sous mac) ou en installant windows sur une partition séparé de Mac OS X (mais cette fois çi à pleine puissance).

Verdict

Après le test du 2.4 GHz Unibody Apple MacBook , le petit 2.0 GHz s'est présenté. Vous aurez un processeur 2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo T7350, un plus petit disque, et un clavier non-rétro-éclairé pour 300.00 Euros de moins.

Le superbe boîtier Unibody en aluminium, qui marque sa patte sur la prochaine génération de portables, la finition et la stabilité du tout défonce le toit des standards actuels. Les dispositifs d'entrées sont irréprochables.

Les performances pour ainsi dire visent lutilisateur moyen, si vous projetez une utilisation complexe avec une demande en calcul supérieur, la version 2,4  Ghz peut s'avérer un bon choix.

De l'autre coté, c'est un peu maigre en interfaces, l'écran brillant est trop brillant, LE PRIX et les drivers de Windows à changer soi même.
