À 9,98mm d'épaisseur, l'Acer Swift 7 est le PC portable le plus fin du monde. Son design noir et or est très seyant et sa construction plate rend l'appareil facile à utiliser et manipuler. Acer présente un bon produit globalement, si l'on prend en compte les limitations d'un châssis aussi compact. Au moment du test, son prix est de 1 300 euros environ.

L'Acer Swift 7 est un appareil de grande qualité, se révélant fiable tant dans nos tests qu'à l'utilisation. La partie matérielle est à la hauteur et assure un fonctionnement fluide pour les tâches quotidiennes.

Les acheteurs potentiels devront se pencher sur les performances, certainement le critère limitant le plus les capacités de l'appareil, en gardant à l'esprit leurs propres besoins. Les jeux 3D seront difficiles à faire tourner, et l'édition vidéo ne sera pas vraiment possible non plus. Il s'agit là de la plus grande faiblesse de ce Swift, mais il faut souligner qu'Acer ne l'a clairement pas conçu pour des applications de ce type-là. Une dalle IPS convaincante et une bonne autonomie de batterie (jusqu'à 7 heures, grâce en particulier à une consommation raisonnable) permettent donc à l'appareil de se révéler très portable et mobile, tout en ayant bien belle allure.
