The Honor Magic8 Lite is one of those updates that doesn't scream "new generation" through raw specs, but wins you over with how thoroughly it refines the formula. The star of the show is unquestionably durability - this is a mid-ranger that flirts with rugged-phone territory without looking or feeling like one. IP68/IP69K certification, resistance to high-pressure water jets, immersion up to 6m and drop protection rated to 2.5m are huge upgrades over previous Lite models and easily one of the main reasons to pick this phone over its rivals. Pair that with a large and bright 120Hz AMOLED with HDR10 support, excellent fingerprint reader and solid stereo speakers, and you get a genuinely pleasant everyday experience. The star of the show is unquestionably durability - this is a mid-ranger that flirts with rugged-phone territory without looking or feeling like one. IP68/IP69K certification, resistance to high-pressure water jets, immersion up to 6m and drop protection rated to 2.5m are huge upgrades over previous Lite models and easily one of the main reasons to pick this phone over its rivals. Pair that with a large and bright 120Hz AMOLED with HDR10 support, excellent fingerprint reader and solid stereo speakers, and you get a genuinely pleasant everyday experience. The fundamentals are all covered too.

Honor impresses with a mid-range winner that sports the largest battery and fastest charging speeds in its class, plus a build quality that's made to last for a very long time, with class-leading drop and ingress protection. Performance is generally excellent, and the software is full of fantastic features. Launching with Android 15 is a bummer, but at least it's got six years of promised OS updates in Europe. I'm not a fan of the flat sides or the cheap haptics, and the camera can be frustratingly slow, but something's got to give at this price range, and these aren't terrible trade-offs.

The Honor Magic 8 Lite offers truly unmatched battery performance. If you hate having to charge often, you'll love this phone. Enhanced aesthetics, increased durability, speedy charging (when you do need it), and a lovely display all sweeten the deal, but lackluster performance and middling cameras ruin the fun. With the Honor Magic 8 Lite, the battery is undoubtedly the star of the show. It has the same massive 7,500 mAh capacity as the Oppo Find X9 Pro, but when combined with its lower-end energy-efficient chip, it lasts even longer. I'm not exaggerating when I say that four days on a single charge is quite easy to achieve with this phone. The Magic 8 Lite's construction has been significantly upgraded this year, too.

Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.

Qualcomm Adreno 830: Unité graphique intégrée dans le SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite pour smartphones avec trois tranches de 1,1 GHz chacune. Cache partagé intégré de 12 Mo pour les trois tranches. Selon Qualcomm, 40% plus rapide que la génération précédente (Adreno 750).

Qualcomm Adreno 840: Unité graphique intégrée dans le SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 pour smartphones avec trois tranches à 1,2 GHz chacune. Selon Qualcomm, elle est 23 % plus rapide que celle de la génération précédente (Adreno 830).

La plupart des jeux pas trop demandants actuels peuvent tourner de façon fluide. soyez prêts à endurer un rendu graphique assez moche à cause de la basse résolution et des détails au minimum. Par ailleurs ces cartes sont suffisantes pour un travail de bureau et le visionnage de vidéos (pas évident pour la vidéo HD).

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8:

SD 8 Elite: SoC (System on a Chip) haut de gamme pour smartphones présenté fin 2024. Il intègre deux cœurs rapides Oryon Gen 2 Prime Cores pouvant atteindre 4,32 GHz et 6 cœurs plus petits Oryon Gen 2 Performance Cores pouvant atteindre 3,53 GHz.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 6:

SD 6 Gen 4: SoC de milieu de gamme avec 8 cœurs Kryo (1x ARM Cortex-A720 2,3 GHz, 3x ARM Cortex A720 2,2 GHz performance cluster, 4x ARM Cortex A520 avec 1,8 efficiency cluster) et un modem 5G. La puce est fabriquée selon le processus moderne 4nm de TSMC. Similaire au Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, mais avec des cœurs Cortex-A720 moins bien cadencés.
