Le Galaxy S9 Plus est sans aucun doute le meilleur smartphone haut de gamme jamais créé par Samsung. Il est d'ailleurs à ce jour le plus complet des smartphones du marché. Son design est le plus abouti, son écran est sublime, ses performances sont fulgurantes et son appareil photo est inégalable. Néanmoins, le dernier haut de gamme de la marque n'est pas dénué de défauts. La partie audio a été améliorée mais n'est pas digne d'un smartphone à ce prix. Mais c'est surtout au niveau logiciel que Samsung a encore du chemin à parcourir. Si Samsung Experience est plus agréable que Touchwiz, il est encore loin de figurer parmi les meilleures surcouches Android. Cela est dû principalement à cette obsession de Samsung à toujours vouloir intégrer ses propres services dans l'OS. On se retrouve alors avec de nombreuses applications en double, et c'est insupportable.

Le Galaxy S9+ est probablement ce qu'aurait dû être le Galaxy S8+ à son époque. Le nouveau fleuron de Samsung vient gommer quelques défauts de son prédécesseur à commencer par un lecteur d'empreintes digitales mieux placé et un son amélioré. L'écran est toujours aussi beau et les performances sont au rendez-vous. Alors pourquoi lui retirer 1 point sur la note finale par rapport à l'an dernier ? Tout simplement parce que les changements apportés ne sont pas suffisamment importants, surtout que le prix augmente de 150€, frôlant presque la barre symbolique des 1000€.

Vendu 959 euros en France, les utilisateurs jugeront si son rapport qualité-prix vaut vraiment le coup. A savoir qu’avec l’offre de reprise d’un ancien smartphone pouvant aller jusqu’à 300 euros, le prix du S9 Plus peut un peu mins piquer.

Overall the Samsung Galaxy S9+ is a good upgrade to the Galaxy S8+. Even though it has the same display, it has slightly smaller bottom bezels, packs a faster processor with 6GB RAM, comes with a better dual-aperture and telephoto rear cameras, which is a huge improvement compared to the S8+, stereo speakers and finally perfect placement of the fingerprint sensor. Samsung finally offers a 256GB version for those who need it. It has the same old front camera and Bixby is still not up to the mark compared to Google Assistant, when it comes to showing the info you need. The camera quality is still not up to the mark when compared to the Pixel 2 series or the iPhone X, especially in low-light, since Pixel 2 images offer better shadow and highlight and portraits are obviously better in Pixel 2.

The Galaxy S9+ is also currently the fastest Android handset on the market, with the best camera we've ever tested, as well as easily the best display of any smartphone we've seen to date. This new Galaxy S device also brings some innovative new features to the mix as well, like Super Slow-Mo, which is just plain fun. Regardless, that's a lot of "bests" Samsung has going on here and that, in our opinion adds up to an Editor's Choice device. Samsung nailed it with the new Samsung Galaxy S9+. Fantastic phone.

When I first picked up the Galaxy S9+ I was certain it would be the better phone of the two new Samsungs. Now I’m not so sure. Just a quick personal observation. Samsung is finally learning to play the crowd with the Galaxy S9. Instead of just throwing new features, they're making sure things work better, and play better with each other. I really liked that small little tidbit about the Lilac Purple color not being some random afterthought and instead is in the spirit of Pantone's Color of the Year. For Samsung fans, the S9 is familiar and builds upon the features of last year's S8. It's not revolutionary, but it feels more usable, more accessible, and more fun.

Like we said earlier, potentially the most significant upgrades the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ bring are in the camera department - super-slow mo recording at 960fps, dual aperture capability on the rear camera sensor, which is capable of shooting at f/2.4 when there’s plenty of light, but can switch to f/1.5 when the phone detects low-light conditions. This is supplemented by a secondary 12-megapixel sensor on the Galaxy S9+ for a dual rear camera setup. Needless to say, the time we spent with the Galaxy S9 duo on Sunday wasn’t enough to make any definite comments on their camera capability, and we look forward to testing them out in detail soon.

La plupart des jeux pas trop demandants actuels peuvent tourner de façon fluide. soyez prêts à endurer un rendu graphique assez moche à cause de la basse résolution et des détails au minimum. Par ailleurs ces cartes sont suffisantes pour un travail de bureau et le visionnage de vidéos (pas évident pour la vidéo HD).
