EN→FRThe Galaxy S25 FE delivers on its goal of offering the Galaxy S25 Plus at a more affordable price, but it also fails to stand out. As a result, it's hard to make a compelling case for it, especially since the Galaxy S25 Plus is often discounted to a similar price. The camera is good enough, but it lacks the fine details I've come to expect from a phone at this price. Meanwhile, the Exynos processor is a considerable downgrade compared to the Galaxy S25. Overall, the Galaxy S25 FE is perfectly fine, and you should only buy it if the Galaxy S25 Plus is significantly more expensive.

EN→FRThere are many ways to perceive the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE. It’s not going to be the best of anything specific, but the things it does well collectively present a valuable handset that satisfies mainstream users who also aren’t looking for anything beyond “I just want a good enough phone that doesn’t cost that much”. Hygiene factors, like IP68 rating, eSIM support, and the option to buy 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB physical storage make Samsung’s flagship-lite alternative a comfortable pick, because there’s little need for Android users to make any major lifestyle changes to accommodate a Galaxy S25 FE in their lives. Samsung kept the stuff that really mattered to your everyday use, even if it’s not the sexiest, headline-grabbing parts.

EN→FRThe Samsung Galaxy S25FE is a well-rounded premium mid-range phone with impressive daylight photography, a gorgeous LTPO AMOLED display, solid battery life, and industry-leading software support. However, Samsung’s in-house chipset still struggles with sustained heat and performance throttling, which keeps it from being an all-round performance champion. If your priority is display, design, software experience, and reliable everyday performance, this FE model delivers excellent value, just avoid long gaming marathons.

EN→FRAs of mid-November 2025, the Galaxy S25 FE can be found online for as low as RM2,549 for the entry-level 256GB configuration, via e-commerce platforms such as Shopee. Meanwhile, with the Galaxy S26 series expected in less than six months, the Galaxy S25 has received price cuts on platforms like Lazada, dropping to around RM3,098 for the base 256GB storage option, which is a substantial RM900 price reduction from its launch price. Considering its larger display, longer battery life, faster charging, and lower price, the Galaxy S25 FE clearly offers better value for most users and is easily my choice of device between the two. That said, if raw performance and portability are your top priorities and you don’t mind the smaller battery, slower charging, and slightly higher price, the Galaxy S25 remains the better choice.

EN→FRHaving not used a Galaxy phone for some time, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect with the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE, but I shouldn’t have worried – this is one of the most confident mid-range phones I’ve ever had the pleasure of testing. The large 6.7-inch AMOLED display, coupled with the larger 4900mAh battery and 45W charging, makes it a better entertainment device than the standard Galaxy S25. The upgraded Exynos 2400 chipset provides just the right amount of performance that makes day-to-day use feel effortless, and it’s only high-end gamers who will want to check out something like the Redmagic 10S Pro or the Poco F7 Pro for more demanding titles.Above all though, it’s the improvements to One UI and Samsung’s promise of seven years of software updates that allow the S25 FE to be an easy recommendation to anyone who wants to avoid flagship-level prices.

EN→FRWith changes that amount to window dressing, I can't recommend anyone buy the S25 FE at full price. There's just enough here to justify spending $650 on a phone that is barely an upgrade over its predecessor. If you're a Samsung fan, I'm sure the S25 FE will be frequently discounted, but why reward the company for a lazy effort? Besides, the S25, following a $200 discount for Prime Day, was only $10 more than the FE earlier this month. Over the past few years, Google and Nothing have shown midrange phones don't need to be boring, iterative affairs. For Samsung, I think it's time to rethink its FE strategy. If these phones offered something different — say actual fan favorite features like a headphone jack — there could be compelling reasons to recommend them. But as things stand, there's just no reason to buy a new FE phone when the company's flagships see steep price discounts within months of their release.

EN→FRThe Samsung Galaxy S25 FE really feels like two steps forward and one step back for Samsung’s pseudo-flagship line. The larger battery and faster charging speeds are overdue improvements that both pay off in real-world usage, while putting the base Galaxy S25 to shame. The slimmer and lighter design is another decision that I increasingly appreciated during my time with the phone. Throw in the array of software features and the seven-year update commitment, and this certainly seems like a welcome release. However, Samsung still refuses to offer meaningful upgrades to performance, cameras, and/or the display. That makes it a hard sell if you have a recent Galaxy FE phone. Everyone else should definitely keep the S25 FE in mind, as it still offers a pseudo-flagship experience and top-notch software at an attractive price.

EN→FRFollowing up from the Galaxy S24 FE is tough, but I’m bummed that Samsung didn’t do more to overhaul the S25 FE. In many ways, it’s a downgrade of sorts because there’s not a whole lot different about the device. While the Galaxy S25 FE packs in all the Galaxy AI features I’ve come to use on other Samsung phones, its weak processing performance and battery life mean that it's not as appealing as a follow-up. Sure, the Galaxy S25 FE offers more value at $649 than other phones, like the iPhone 16e, but it has a tougher time convincing me it’s better than the Pixel 10.

EN→FRDepending on where they live, Samsung owners looking to upgrade their tired old handset for sensible money will find the Galaxy S25 FE is a slam dunk. It looks the part, has a gorgeous screen, very respectable battery life and a lead camera that takes very tidy photos. Long-term software support is a boon, too. It’s particularly appealing in the US, where there simply aren’t that many rivals. The usual Fan Edition caveat (that the next mainline Galaxy S generation is just a few months away from launching) has been softened a bit by launching earlier than usual, and the Galaxy S25 series is holding its value better than previous years, so UK and European phone fans should also check it out.

EN→FRThe Samsung Galaxy S25 FE aims to deliver a taste of the flagship experience at half the cost, and it almost manages to do so. It impresses with its design, vibrant display, and dependable main and telephoto cameras. You also get a flagship chipset, coupled with Samsung's unmatched software support. However, it is not without its issues. Heating issues are persistent, and battery life is only par for the course. While improved, charging speeds still lag behind many competitors in this price segment. The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is a good buy if flagship design, robust software support, and AI experience are what you're looking for. If a good camera experience or all-around performance is a priority, then the Vivo X200 FE (review), OnePlus 13s (review), and iQOO 13 (review) are better options to purchase.

EN→FRI’ve spent the last few months testing the MacBook Pro M4, and it’s the first laptop that has made my desktop PC feel somewhat unnecessary at times. It’s quieter than my gaming tower, faster in most workflows (especially with the M4 Max chip), and lasted me almost a full day editing 4K video in Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro. Apple didn’t change the exterior of its latest MacBook Pro very much – and it didn’t need to. For three years running, the main upgrade has been the chip, specifically the M4 Pro and M4 Pro Max. These chips can handle my creative workloads (and then some) like a workstation, yet keep fan noise to a minimum. It’s “library quiet,” as we call it. Yes, the MacBook Pro M4 design looks identical to the M3 Pro and M2 Pro that you may be upgrading from, but it’s what’s inside that counts. The new 3nm M4 architecture brings roughly 22% faster single-core and 30% faster GPU performance, while sipping less power.

EN→FRIf you’re looking for a great all-round smartphone that significantly undercuts flagships on price, yes. The Galaxy S25 FE is the best outright mid-range phone you can buy, and has enough in common with the S25+ to be a great value choice. The only real compromises to be aware of are underwhelming gaming performance and hit-and-miss supporting cameras, though the latter also affects the S25+. The S25 FE is a very well-rounded phone, which I’d be very happy to use as my main device long-term, which isn’t something I often say. EN→FRThat's an interesting question. And the answer is "it depends." If you already own last year's Galaxy S24 FE, there's no reason to upgrade. The previous model has very comparable specs, especially in terms of chipset, display, and camera, and it will last you seven years. Now, if you want an affordable flagship, or you're coming from a much older Galaxy S-series device (Fan Edition or not), the S25 FE is a great choice. It offers all the bells and whistles of a modern flagship at a decent price. You can also go down a notch and get the Galaxy A56 if you want to save even more money (it's $200 less), but there's no telephoto and the chipset is much slower. The Pixel 9a, on the other hand, is probably the strongest alternative to the S25 FE — the only things you are losing there is the better chip performance and the better video quality. If you do decide to go for the S25 FE, though, you can rest assured that it is a safe choice, especially if you are a fan of Samsung's UI and additional software features.

EN→FRThe Samsung Galaxy S25 FE, released in September 2025, brings many flagship features at a more affordable price. Its 6.7-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display is one of the main highlights, offering Full HD+ resolution, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and up to 1900 nits brightness. This makes it great for movies, games, and outdoor use. Under the hood, it runs on Samsung’s Exynos 2400 chipset built on a 4 nm process. The 10-core CPU and Xclipse 940 GPU make it fast, efficient, and powerful enough to handle everything from heavy multitasking to high-end gaming without slowing down. It ticks the right boxes for those who want Samsung’s software ecosystem, AI extras, and a large AMOLED display at a lower entry point than the main S25 series. Without getting out a magnifying glass, it’s tough to discern many notable differences between this year’s phone and the last. But it is a decent phone as a slight step up from the packed mid-range Android ecosystem. Especially if you grab the S25 FE at its introductory $849 price, or on sale at a later date. With how increasingly saturated the $1,000 phone market has become, Samsung’s flagship gateway device is no longer an assured slam dunk. EN→FRThe Galaxy S25 FE is similar to the Galaxy S24 FE in many ways. But Samsung has managed to build in some meaningful upgrades without increasing the price. The design is thinner and more premium, complete with the slimmest bezels yet on an FE phone. Battery life is strong, charging is much faster, and the new front camera delivers selfies that are in line with the rest of the Galaxy S25 series. The real standout, though, is the software. Even though it arrives a year after the S24 FE, the S25 FE runs a version of Android and One UI that’s two generations newer. In fact, it even ships with newer software than the other S25-series models. Add Samsung’s promise of seven years of updates to the mix, and the S25 FE becomes as future-proof as the Fold 7 while costing far less. Unless you absolutely need the latest and greatest chip inside your phone, the Galaxy S25 FE is a fantastic choice for anyone who wants a high-end experience without the flagship-level price tag.

EN→FRThe Galaxy S25 FE will be a particularly good fit for two different audiences: people moving up from more budget-minded devices like the Galaxy A or Moto G phone series, and people moving over from a device like the Galaxy S21 FE or earlier. These two groups will see the biggest upgrades if they move to the Galaxy S25 FE without having to spend $800 for the base Galaxy S25. But outside of those fields, there are a lot of options right now. If you're looking for a smaller phone in this price range, for instance, last year's Galaxy S24 has many of the same features as the Galaxy S25 FE and runs faster on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. And if you're coming from an iPhone and are Android-curious, yet skeptical about spending $800 or more, you could save money by getting the $499 Google Pixel 9A for Android 16, or the $550 Motorola Edge for its camera system and fast charging.

EN→FRThe Samsung Galaxy S25 FE in its 256GB+8GB form costs RM3,099; it’s pretty well-documented by now that Samsung tends to stay on the slow and safe side when it comes to engineering upgrades, so overall it’s not going to make people too excited for it. Still, it’s a serviceable smartphone for what it is, and owing to its early launch promo, the current market price seems to have matched S24 FE’s current price tag, which made the S25 FE a better-valued option even if it’s not for long.

EN→FRThe Galaxy S25 FE is a phone that I’ve had a mixed experience with. There are some big trade-offs. The battery life was the biggest hurdle, and as a heavy user and I had to charge it twice a day. It also gets warm, not just when gaming, but even during some general everyday use. And while the performance is good, I’m a bit concerned that the 8GB of RAM might not feel so fast in a few years, especially with the long update promise. But there’s also a lot to like here. The design feels great as it’s sleek, light, and has that premium Samsung feel. The display and speakers make it a fantastic device for watching movies, and the day-to-day performance is smooth, just as you’d expect from a flagship chip. And you can’t argue with 7 years of software updates, which is a huge advantage.

EN→FRThe Galaxy S25 FE carries forward the Fan Edition legacy with a mix of premium design, reliable performance, and a camera system that doesn’t disappoint. Samsung has done well to make the phone slimmer, lighter, and still durable, while the display continues to set a high bar in its class. The Exynos 2400 may not match the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip on paper, but in real-world use, it handles everything from multitasking to heavy gaming without breaking a sweat. What makes the S25 FE click is the balance – it packs Galaxy AI features, strong cameras, and a dependable battery into a package that feels flagship-like without the premium price tag. That said, faster charging and a Snapdragon variant would’ve made it a tougher rival to the OnePlus 13s and Vivo X200 FE.

Well, sadly you lose a few features and suffer some specs slashes vs the S25 Plus. So, performance relies on last year's old Exynos 2400 - not even the fresher 2500 stuffed in that Flip 7. The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is still fine for gaming, but not as smooth running more intense titles. Likewise, the camera tech isn't quite as capable, especially that dinky zoom sensor. Battery life is thankfully fine, if not stellar. You have a slightly bigger cell stuffed inside of the Samsung S25 FE vs the older S24 model - and much larger than the Edge! Although recharging is still slow, despite Qi2 support. The display isn't as sharp or bright as that Plus screen, but still quite poppy and a good one for movies or gaming. Audio is spaffed out by a respectable pair of stereo speakers and of course you have a veritable buffet of AI shenanigans.

EN→FRThe Galaxy S25 FE is a well-built phone with strong durability, a big display, full Galaxy AI, and good battery life. It’s a big improvement over older FE models and could have been the spiritual successor to the excellent Galaxy S20 FE. But in 2025, 8GB RAM feels unacceptable, the camera system is dated, and the small price gap to the standard Galaxy S25 makes the FE a tough sell. Unless you specifically want the larger display, the regular S25 offers better value overall.

EN→FRI have been using Samsung smartphones since the brand dropped the Galaxy S4 Mini, and over the years, I have upgraded through some of its flagship – from Galaxy S8 to Galaxy S20 and most recently the Galaxy S23 Plus. What kept me loyal is Samsung’s knack for delivering a perfect blend between powerful hardware, polished software and everyday ease of use. That’s not all, over the years, Samsung has also built an entire ecosystem with its A, M, and F series across different price segments, but there was always a gap- a device that carries flagship traits without the flagship price tag. And in 2020, Samsung finally stepped in with the FE lineup and here we are in 2025 with the latest addition: the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE. And this time, the Samsung fanboy in me- who once only aspired to own every flagship, finally gets to put the new S25 FE through its paces. Here’s my honest take on whether Samsung’s latest FE still nails that perfect blend of value and performance.

EN→FRThe Samsung Galaxy S25 FE, like previous Fan Edition models, distills the key features of the current Galaxy S Series phones for a near-flagship experience, while making some compromises (or cutting some corners) to reach a more affordable price point. It's a formula that has worked for several iterations now, especially if you're not too bothered about smartphone photography or mobile gaming. At S$948 for the base 128GB model (online exclusive in Singapore), the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE was launched at a lower price point than last year's Galaxy S24 FE (S$1,028). However, you should know that the Galaxy S24 FE came with a minimum of 256GB storage. In fact, the 256GB version of the Galaxy S25 FE is S$1,038, and the 512GB model costs S$1,218, both of which are actually S$10 more than their predecessors.

EN→FRSamsung did not make any radical changes to the Galaxy S25 FE compared to last year's fan model. Instead, it focused on improvements that affected the dimensions, weight, design and battery of the smartphone. The result was quite successful. The smartphone is really noticeably more affordable than older flagships. At the same time, it offers a good screen, a nice design, IP68 protection, high performance, loud sound, good cameras and a user-friendly interface with continuous updates. Among the complaints, it is worth mentioning the traditionally "hot" Exynos processor, as well as the lack of autofocus in the ultra-wide-angle camera, which has long been available in smartphones half the price.

EN→FRThe Samsung Galaxy S25 FE doesn’t arrive with flashy new tricks or radical design changes. Instead, it does what a Fan Edition phone should: refine, polish, and deliver a balanced experience at a relatively affordable price. By trimming down the weight, improving performance with the Exynos 2400, boosting charging speeds, and adding a larger battery, Samsung has addressed the main complaints of last year’s model without raising the price. At Rs 59,999, it slots neatly into the market as the most affordable member of the Galaxy S25 family while still offering a premium experience. It may not lure Galaxy S24 FE owners into upgrading immediately, the differences (while meaningful) aren’t transformative. But for new buyers or anyone coming from an older FE or A-series device, the Galaxy S25 FE is a good package that combines flagship sensibilities with practical usability. It is important to note that the additional launch discount offers of Rs 5,000 make the deal quite attractive for Samsung fans.

EN→FRThe Galaxy S25 FE does a great job of trickling down the best of the flagship S25 and S25 Plus smartphones, from the premium glass and metal design, a relatively slim profile, Galaxy AI tools across language and imaging, and a triple camera system. While it represents impressive value in the Samsung ecosystem, though, it's still a pricey phone when compared to midrange alternatives from Vivo, OnePlus, and Oppo.

EN→FRThe Galaxy S25 FE brings a couple of upgrades over its predecessor, and it's a generally well-rounded phone, when considered in isolation, or if you are looking for a Samsung-specific upgrade. The device has a sleek, solid build, excellent display, good performance and a versatile camera setup, albeit not ideal. The main and selfie cameras are definitely solid performers in the class. Last but not least, Samsung is promising 7 major OS upgrades. The package as a whole is a rather enticing option for the US. However, you can find more powerful phones with better cameras, and many of the S25 FE's competitors excel in battery life and charging speed, which are two aspects in which the Fan Edition is not particularly good at. Those rivals are much cheaper too.

EN→FRThe question now becomes – should you buy the Galaxy S25 FE? Well, I’d say yes. Okay, before you head to the comments section and be angry, hear me out. The Galaxy S25 FE is priced at USD $709.99 for 256GB, now discounted to USD $649.99 – or RM3,099 in Malaysia. While that sounds high, it’s actually lower than the S24 FE for us in Malayisa, but the same USD pricing. With that said, it’s still at a high price. But – Samsung did have a huge discount for the S24 FE down to around RM2,099. And I think the same will hapen for the S25 FE too. When that happens, the S25 FE is really affordable. While it’s very similar to the S24 FE, I’d still suggest getting the S25 FE. You do get another year of extra Android OS upgrade and security patches because of the release date, and also an upgraded selfie camera if you care about that. Still, I do think Samsung should’ve used the Exynos 2500 in the S25 FE.

You can also go down a notch and get the Galaxy A56 if you want to save even more money (it's $200 less), but there's no telephoto and the chipset is slower. Stay tuned for tests, benchmarks, and camera samples.

EN→FRIn battery testing, a phone like the Galaxy S25 Edge with the Snapdragon inside lasted much longer than a phone like the Galaxy Z Flip 7 with an Exynos 2500 inside, even though the S25 Edge has a smaller battery. The difference between the Apple A18 chipset in the iPhone 16e and the Exynos 2400 in the Galaxy S25 FE is even more stark. In our benchmark tests, the iPhone completely blows away the Exynos in every test – including single- and multi-core processing, graphics, and real-world tasks. Does that mean the iPhone 16e will be better for gaming and other processor-intensive tasks than the Galaxy S25 FE? Maybe, but I’ll need to spend more time with the phone to compare it against the iPhone’s performance head-to-head.

EN→FRThe key to the FE’s appeal, or otherwise, always lies in the pricing and that’s as big an issue for this year’s phone as ever. At £649, it’s actually more expensive than the regular S25, which you can get hold of these days for just a smidge over £500. On top of being cheaper, it also has a better camera system and is lighter and more compact. The FE, to be fair to it, is closer in size and spec to the S25 Plus, which is considerably more expensive at around £750. But for your extra money, you’re getting double the storage, as well as 1.5 times the RAM, a slimmer profile and a better camera system. I’m sure the S25 FE will provide the perfect fit for some people. And we’ll be passing our final verdict on it when we get our hands on one for testing soon, but for now I’m not convinced it’s a persuasive enough proposition for many to pick it over the more capable S25 and S25 Plus.

You’re getting nearly everything that the Galaxy S25 Plus offers, but at a much lower price. I’m always pleased to see cheaper phone options and am very curious to see how the Galaxy S25 FE compares to other midrange powerhouses like the iPhone 16e and the especially fantastic Google Pixel 9a. And then there are the Buds 3 FE, which are promising on paper but certainly have their work cut out for them in an increasingly crowded field of competitors. EN→FRAt the Galaxy Unpacked event today, Samsung showed off its latest Galaxy S25 FE smartphone and two new premium Galaxy Tab 11 tablets. Along with the usual hardware upgrades, these new devices are predictably geared for AI, with Samsung focusing on the Galaxy AI experiences available on them. For example, one can use the phone camera with the preloaded Gemini Live AI assistant or easily perform a generative AI edit of a photo. Indeed, the upgrades are minor on the latest Galaxy S25 FE, which remains more affordable than the flagship Galaxy S25 phones. It has a similar 6.7-inch 120Hz display as the previous Galaxy S24 FE, though the bezels are slimmer. But minor nitpick here: The bezels are not uniform, with the bottom one looking just a tad thicker.

EN→FRThe Samsung Galaxy S25 FE packs a slightly bigger 4,900mAh battery compared to the Galaxy S24 FE. On paper, the handset should deliver more hours of usage, but you should wait for our detailed battery benchmarks and tests which will be part of our review. This could potentially add to the value-for-money factor of the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE. But will the handset deliver on all the promises it makes?
