RTX 2070 Max-Q et 144 Hz hexacoeur de jeu. L’Omen 15 ressemble peut-être à son prédécesseur, mais HP a revu ses composants. Un CPU hexacœur et un GPU haut de gamme devraient permettre de mieux exploiter la dalle 144 Hz que le dernier Omen 15 que nous avons testé le faisait, même si la RAM mono canal devrait un peu brider les performances. Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion)

Afin d'abaisser la luminosité de l'écran, certains ordinateurs portables font varier très rapidement le rétroéclairage entre éteint et allumé. La fréquence à laquelle le rétroéclairage s'éteint et se rallume est normalement fixée à une valeur qui permet de rendre la variation indétectable à l'œil nu? Si la fréquence est trop basse, certaines personnes peuvent être sujettes à une fatigue oculaire, des maux de tête ou même percevoir les variations.

Le HP Omen 15 reste un robuste portable de jeu. Le dc1303ng garde les points forts de son prédécesseur, tout en étant bien plus puissant. L’appareil reste également plutôt silencieux en cas de sollicitations, ce qui est toujours bien. Il est également facile à mettre à jour ou à réparer, et il est possible de changer entre autres la RAM, le stockage ou la carte Wifi. Certains pourraient cependant trouver un peu difficile d’enlever la coque inférieure.

Le HP Omen 15-dc1303ng possède un bon rapport qualité / prix, avec ses composants puissants profitant bien à l’écran 1080p 144 Hz. Un mauvais contraste et une faible autonomie gâchent cependant un peu la machine.

L’Omen 15 possède ainsi une autonomie étonnamment courte, surtout au regard de la capacité de la batterie, de 70 Wh. De plus, alors que nous apprécions que le fabricant ait intégré une dalle 144 Hz sans MLI, son faible contraste et ses noirs élevés sont décevants.

Le HP Omen 15-dc1303ng est un portable de jeu conçu pour ceux qui ne pensent jouer qu’avec une prise électrique à portée de mains, et avec un écran externe. La RTX 2070 Max-Q et le processeur hexacœur adaptés au jeu à moins de 2 000 € représentent un bon rapport qualité / prix.
