Avec le ZBook 14u G-, Hewlett Pacard propose une station de travail mobile compacte de 14 pouces. Le processeur Core i7-8565U et la Radeon Pro WX 3200 fournissent toute la puissance nécessaire. Mais les performances ne sont pas du meilleur niveau possible : le processeur ne fournit toute sa puissance qu’avec un seul cœur, les performances multithreads étant inférieures au potentiel de la puce.

Ceux qui voudraient jouer avec le ZBook ne seront pas satisfaits. Il est fait pour les logiciels qui ne sollicitent que légèrement les cœurs graphiques. Au bout d’un court moment, le throttling du GPU est déjà conséquent. En cas de besoin, une carte graphique externe plus puissante peut être connectée via le port Thunderbolt 3.

Avec le ZBook 14y G6, HP propose une station de travail de haute qualité.

Le système de refroidissement de la machine n’est pas trop bruyant, tandis que la chauffe est maîtrisée. Le SSD NVMe permet au système d’être réactif, et il peut être changé en retirant la coque inférieure. Le clavier (rétroéclairé) nous a laissé une très bonne impression, et l’autonomie est bonne.

L’écran mat Full HD marque des points grâce à sa luminosité, ses angles de vision, son contraste et la reproduction des couleurs. De plus, l’espace colorimétrique sRVB est presque couvert à 100 %.
