Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion)

Afin d'abaisser la luminosité de l'écran, certains ordinateurs portables font varier très rapidement le rétroéclairage entre éteint et allumé. La fréquence à laquelle le rétroéclairage s'éteint et se rallume est normalement fixée à une valeur qui permet de rendre la variation indétectable à l'œil nu? Si la fréquence est trop basse, certaines personnes peuvent être sujettes à une fatigue oculaire, des maux de tête ou même percevoir les variations.

Le rétroéclairage de l'écran scintille à la fréquence de 10000 Hz (certainement du fait de l'utilisation d'une MDI - Modulation de largeur d'impulsion) à un niveau de luminosité inférieur ou égal à 20 % . Aucun scintillement ne devrait être perceptible au-dessus de cette valeur.

La fréquence de rafraîchissement de 10000 Hz est élevée, la grande majorité des utilisateurs ne devrait pas percevoir de scintillements et être sujette à une fatigue oculaire accrue.

Le Lenovo V110-15IKB est équipé comme il sied à un ordinateur de bureau : un processeur suffisamment puissant, un SSD rapide, et de la mémoire vive double canal. Le clavier également est honnête. Et le tout est disponible pour 400 €.

Ce portable de 15,6 pouces de Lenovo possède un ratio prix / performances très avantageux.

Le prix relativement bas se fait malgré tout ressentir. L’écran n’a rien d’exceptionnel. Il est trop sombre, pas assez contrasté, et ses angles de vue sont trop réduits. L’autonomie Wifi réduite et le manque de solidité du châssis excluent un usage mobile. Et Lenovo n’inclut une garantie que d'un an. Au vu du prix, on ne peut pas trop critiquer le bruit des ventilateurs - après tout, des ordinateurs plus chers en font autant - même si cela ne devrait plus se trouver sur aucun portable.
