Après avoir testé le "grand" Inspiron 16 Plus 7610 avec une GeForce RTX 3050 et un i7, nous nous intéressons maintenant au modèle d'entrée de gamme. Cette fois, le i7-11800H arrive en solo sans dGPU. Sera-t-il capable de contrer la plainte concernant le développement inférieur à la moyenne des performances du processeur ?

Bien qu'encore rares, les ordinateurs portables convertibles de 16 pouces sont de plus en plus courants de nos jours. L'Insprion 16 7620 2-en-1 est l'un des plus abordables de sa catégorie et il est même équipé des derniers CPU Intel de 12e génération et des GPU GeForce MX pour être aussi rapide, voire plus, que la plupart des autres convertibles.
Bien qu'encore rares, les ordinateurs portables convertibles de 16 pouces sont de plus en plus courants de nos jours. L'Insprion 16 7620 2-en-1 est l'un des plus abordables de sa catégorie et il est même équipé des derniers CPU Intel de 12e génération et des GPU GeForce MX pour être aussi rapide, voire plus, que la plupart des autres convertibles.

Ce n’est pas pratique, alors que l’ensemble du PC est performant. Le Dell Inspiron 7620 2 en 1 est un ordinateur pratique et performant, avec ce côté convertible vraiment agréable, mais on se demande à quoi bon sur une machine de 16 pouces. Malgré-tout, les performances sont bonnes et l'ordinateur est convaincant, si l'on oublie l'écran pas au sommet de ce que sait faire Dell.

The Full HD display won’t blow you away, but if you want a better display then the 4K OLED option won’t break the bank. The Dell is a fair bit heavier than the obvious competition from LG and Samsung, but it feels more solidly put together than either of those models. For potential business users, the absence of a numeric keypad may be an issue, but for most home users I suspect that using the space for the mighty speaker system is the right choice. It’s a shame Dell doesn’t bundle a stylus, though – 2-in-1s really shouldn’t ship without one.

The pros far outweigh the cons of this Dell Inspiron 16 laptop and the price is justifiable. Compared to the previous AMD-based Inspiron 15, this generation offers a larger screen, improved inputs and audio, and a bump in overall performance, while still remaining compact and lightweight for what it is, as well as ergonomic and efficient on battery. It's a pitty Dell don't offer a better display for this series, though.

Mais le tout fonctionne bien, l’autonomie est convenable, l’écran adopte une résolution élevée, le processeur et le reste des composants sont en belle corrélation, il est justement dommage que l’option carte graphique soit aussi onéreuse. le Dell Inspiron 16 Plus 7620 est une bonne machine. S'il n'est pas exempt de petits défauts, il reste tout de même performant et si l'on doit choisir un bon ordinateur portable, performant et à un prix convenable, c'est certainement un choix très intéressant.

Difficile de prendre réellement en défaut l’Inspiron 16 Plus. La prestation de l’appareil est solide sur la plupart des points clés, ce qui fait de lui un très bon ordinateur portable grand format… et finalement bien plus grand public que l’on aurait pu l’imaginer de prime abord. Bien pensé et sérieusement assemblé, il profite d’un niveau de puissance généreux grâce à un Core i7-12700H bien exploité et propose une expérience convaincante à bien des égards. Nous regrettons néanmoins que Dell n’ait pas accordé plus de soin à la calibration de son écran ainsi qu’à la conception du clavier. Ce dernier gagnerait à mieux occuper l’espace disponible pour offrir plus de confort au quotidien.

C'est aussi un segment généralement plus onéreux, ce qui sous-entend des prix de départ plus élevés que la moyenne. Et dans cet ordre d'idée, le Dell Inspiron 16 Plus se place très bien comme un ordinateur 16 pouces en lequel on peut avoir confiance, pour une facture tout de même allégée. De bonnes performances sur un bon design, bien que faisant la concession du placement de sa connectique pour gérer sa chauffe merveilleusement bien, qui offrent par ailleurs une très bonne autonomie pour cette catégorie. Le seul sacrifice que nous avons du mal à concéder est la luminosité maximale de son écran, qui ne dépasse pas le seuil suffisant au confort de lecture en plein soleil. Sur cette diagonale et à ce placement tarifaire, c'est hélas trop souvent le cas. The Inspiron 16 Plus falls just short of being a laptop that I can comfortably recommend. It provides good performance for all but the most demanding creators, but it doesn’t offer a display option that meets their needs. It’s priced like a premium laptop, but it’s not built like one. You expect a metal chassis and lid to be more rigid in a laptop costing $1,500 or more. And the battery life was erratic. If you’re a productivity user who wants a really fast laptop, then it’s an option. But so are many other 16-inch machines. The HP Envy 16 is close in price with a similar configuration, but it feels like a more premium laptop. In the end, I’d say to pass on this one unless its price comes down considerably.
