Facile à réparer ! Le fabricant du Fairphone peut sans doute se vanter d’avoir conçu le smartphone le plus durable actuellement disponible. Alors que la plupart des appareils aujourd’hui ne permettent même plus de remplacer la batterie, le Fairphone est conçu avec différents modules, afin de réduire le gâchis. Voyons avec le Fairphone 3 si ce concept a bien évolué.

Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion)

Afin d'abaisser la luminosité de l'écran, certains ordinateurs portables font varier très rapidement le rétroéclairage entre éteint et allumé. La fréquence à laquelle le rétroéclairage s'éteint et se rallume est normalement fixée à une valeur qui permet de rendre la variation indétectable à l'œil nu? Si la fréquence est trop basse, certaines personnes peuvent être sujettes à une fatigue oculaire, des maux de tête ou même percevoir les variations.
Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion) décelé 22320 Hz ≤ 99 Niveau de luminosité

Le rétroéclairage de l'écran scintille à la fréquence de 22320 Hz (certainement du fait de l'utilisation d'une MDI - Modulation de largeur d'impulsion) à un niveau de luminosité inférieur ou égal à 99 % . Aucun scintillement ne devrait être perceptible au-dessus de cette valeur.

La fréquence de rafraîchissement de 22320 Hz est élevée, la grande majorité des utilisateurs ne devrait pas percevoir de scintillements et être sujette à une fatigue oculaire accrue.

En comparaison, 50 % des appareils testés n'emploient pas MDI pour assombrir leur écran. Nous avons relevé une moyenne à 17067 (minimum : 5 - maximum : 2500000) Hz dans le cas où une MDI était active.

Temps de réponse de l'écran

Le temps de réponse d'un écran mesure la rapidité à laquelle l'écran est capable de changer une couleur pour une autre. Un temps de réponse élevé se traduit par une image floutée pour les objets en mouvement. Les joueurs bénéficieront de faibles latences d'affichage en jeu.

Le Fairphone 3 est dans la continuité des smartphones durables et modulaires. Les modules sont plus petits, la qualité de construction a été améliorée, et les composants sont plus que suffisants pour les tâches du quotidien. Les performances de l’appareil photo ont également largement progressé, et l’on peut maintenant s’attendre à un smartphone élégant et bien construit.

Mis à part son prix d’achat, le Fairphone 3 ne possède pas de vrai défaut face aux autres smartphones.

Le choix du Fairphone 3 sera un choix très réfléchi. Son prix est plus élevé que celui des smartphones concurrents équipés de façon similaire, et sa durée de vie devrait dépasser les deux ans – manque de quoi ses modules amovibles ne feront aucune différence. Et si le Fairphone 3 ne peut pas suivre la course à la puissance des autres fabricants, il vaut tout à fait le coup si ses composants répondent à vos attentes.
