La fréquence de rafraîchissement de 29070 Hz est élevée, la grande majorité des utilisateurs ne devrait pas percevoir de scintillements et être sujette à une fatigue oculaire accrue.

Après avoir testé la version 2020 du MateBook X Pro, nous avons l'impression que Huawei a simplement intégré de nouveaux composants dans un châssis existant, sans trop s'occuper de l'optimisation et des réglages. Nous n'avons pas d'autre façon d'expliquer pourquoi le processeur fait moins bien que sur le prédécesseur âgé de deux ans, et pourquoi le GPU reste bien en-deçà de son potentiel. Comparer celui-ci à des GPU intégrés récents montre que la combinaison d'un processeur ULV et d'une carte graphique d'entrée de gamme est peu pertinent, et que le choix d'un processeur Ice Lake d'Intel avec GPU G7 intégré aurait été bien meilleur. Non seulement cela aurait permi d'intégrer moins de composants, mais cela aurait permi de mieux adapter le refroidissement. Et si les performances restent acceptables pour un ultraportable compact, il faut garder à l'esprit que les concurrents du MateBook  Pro atteignent le même niveau de performances sans graphismes dédiés.

La bonne nouvelle, c'est qu'il s'agit de la seule mauvaise nouvelle. Dans tous les autres domaines, l'ultraportable de Huawei laisse une très bonne impression, à commencer par le châssis en aluminium, l'écran haute résolution (même si la lisibilité à l'extérieur est quelle que peu limitée par un revêtement très sensible aux reflets), et une autonomie plus qu'acceptable.

Bien que son processeur soit décevant, le MateBook X Pro reste un ultraportable correct. Vous pouvez sans hésitation choisir la version Core i5. Les qualités de l'appareil incluent le châssis élégant et l'excellent écran.

Pour 1 600 €, le MateBook X Pro n'est pas un bon plan, et l'on ne comprend vraiment pas pourquoi et comment Huawei a pu laisser le problème des performances pendant le développement de la machine. L'expérience au quotidien ne repose cependant pas que sur les performances, si bien que l'appareil peut finalement être recommandé, mais certainement pas dans sa version Core i7, qui ne permet pour ainsi dire aucun gain de performances.
