Joueur discret. Grâce à son processeur Core i5-9300H et à sa carte graphique GeForce GTX 1650, l’IdeaPad est capable de faire tourner n’importe quel jeu sur l’écran mat de 17,3 pouces (FHD, IPS). Ils sont accompagnés d’un SSD NVMe, de 16 Go de mémoire vive, et d’une bonne autonomie. Malheureusement, la RAM ne tourne qu’en mode mono canal.

Le temps de réponse d'un écran mesure la rapidité à laquelle l'écran est capable de changer une couleur pour une autre. Un temps de réponse élevé se traduit par une image floutée pour les objets en mouvement. Les joueurs bénéficieront de faibles latences d'affichage en jeu.

Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion)

Afin d'abaisser la luminosité de l'écran, certains ordinateurs portables font varier très rapidement le rétroéclairage entre éteint et allumé. La fréquence à laquelle le rétroéclairage s'éteint et se rallume est normalement fixée à une valeur qui permet de rendre la variation indétectable à l'œil nu? Si la fréquence est trop basse, certaines personnes peuvent être sujettes à une fatigue oculaire, des maux de tête ou même percevoir les variations.
Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion) décelé 250 Hz ≤ 20 Niveau de luminosité

Le rétroéclairage de l'écran scintille à la fréquence de 250 Hz (certainement du fait de l'utilisation d'une MDI - Modulation de largeur d'impulsion) à un niveau de luminosité inférieur ou égal à 20 % . Aucun scintillement ne devrait être perceptible au-dessus de cette valeur.

La fréquence de rafraîchissement de 250 Hz est relativement faible, les personnes les plus sensibles devraient percevoir un scintillement et être sujettes à une fatigue oculaire accrue (avec le niveau de luminosité indiqué)

En comparaison, 50 % des appareils testés n'emploient pas MDI pour assombrir leur écran. Nous avons relevé une moyenne à 17159 (minimum : 5 - maximum : 2500000) Hz dans le cas où une MDI était active.

Avec l’IdeaPad L340-17IRH, Lenovo propose un portable de jeu de 17,3 pouces du milieu de gamme. La combinaison d’un processeur Core i5-9300H et d’une carte graphique GeForce GTX 1650 fournit toute la puissance adaptée à l’écran – on peut généralement jouer en FHD, avec des réglages moyens ou élevés.

Grâce à sa carte graphique dédiée, l’IdeaPad L340-17IRH pourra séduire de nombreux utilisateurs, et pas que les joueurs.

Cependant les taux d’image restent inférieurs au potentiel du portable, la RAM ne fonctionnant qu’en mode monocanal. Et il n’est pas possible d’activer le mode double canal, l’appareil n’ayant qu’un seul emplacement pour la RAM.

Le SSD NVMe intégré permet au système d’être rapide et réactif. Il est possible de le remplacer par un modèle plus rapide ou avec plus de stockage, mais il faudra pour cela ouvrir la coque. L’écran mat IPS marque des points avec de bons angles de vision, un bon contraste, et une excellente reproduction des couleurs. La luminosité de l’écran est correcte, mais devrait être supérieure pour un appareil de cette gamme de prix.

Le clavier chiclet s’est avéré acceptable pour les tâches du quotidien, et il est rétroéclairé. Le tout s’accompagne d’une bonne autonomie. Alors que la connectivité de l’appareil n’est pas excellente, les connexions les plus importantes sont bien présentes, même s’il faut faire sans lecteur de carte.
