Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion)

Afin d'abaisser la luminosité de l'écran, certains ordinateurs portables font varier très rapidement le rétroéclairage entre éteint et allumé. La fréquence à laquelle le rétroéclairage s'éteint et se rallume est normalement fixée à une valeur qui permet de rendre la variation indétectable à l'œil nu? Si la fréquence est trop basse, certaines personnes peuvent être sujettes à une fatigue oculaire, des maux de tête ou même percevoir les variations.
Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion) décelé 1000 Hz ≤ 10 Niveau de luminosité

Le rétroéclairage de l'écran scintille à la fréquence de 1000 Hz (certainement du fait de l'utilisation d'une MDI - Modulation de largeur d'impulsion) à un niveau de luminosité inférieur ou égal à 10 % . Aucun scintillement ne devrait être perceptible au-dessus de cette valeur.

La fréquence de rafraîchissement de 1000 Hz est élevée, la grande majorité des utilisateurs ne devrait pas percevoir de scintillements et être sujette à une fatigue oculaire accrue.

En comparaison, 51 % des appareils testés n'emploient pas MDI pour assombrir leur écran. Nous avons relevé une moyenne à 9331 (minimum : 43 - maximum : 142900) Hz dans le cas où une MDI était active.

Temps de réponse de l'écran

Le temps de réponse d'un écran mesure la rapidité à laquelle l'écran est capable de changer une couleur pour une autre. Un temps de réponse élevé se traduit par une image floutée pour les objets en mouvement. Les joueurs bénéficieront de faibles latences d'affichage en jeu.

Le Huawei Y5 2019 est une bonne mise à jour par rapport au Y5 2018, et propose de nombreux avantages. Nous devons signaler les performances globales en hausse, un design plus moderne avec une encoche en forme de goutte d’eau, ainsi qu’un haut-parleur qui, tout en offrant un son médiocre, est toujours meilleur que son prédécesseur. L’écran possède des couleurs plus fidèles, et peut également être plus lumineux que celui du prédécesseur.

Huawei se serait facilité la tâche - et celle de ses clients - en ajoutant un lecteur d’empreintes digitales, mais il faut avouer qu’à 13 MP, le capteur photo possède une résolution bien élevée pour cette catégorie, et parvient à prendre des clichés acceptables.

Le Huaweii Y5 2019 est un bon smartphone à petit prix, avec de bonnes performances et dans l’ensemble meilleur que son prédécesseur.

Le Xiaomi Redmi 7 est un concurrent de taille. Il coûte juste 30 € de plus, et propose de meilleures performances, un lecteur d’empreintes digitales, et une meilleure autonomie. Le BQ Aquaris C propose un WLAN bien plus rapide, et un lecteur d’empreintes digitales. Mais le Huawei Y5 2019 a fait disparaître plusieurs faiblesses de son prédécesseur, et s’avère être maintenant un smartphone à petit prix concurrentiel.

Actuellement, le coût supplémentaire par rapport au Y5 2018 est d’environ 20 €. Si vous ne parvenez pas à vous décider entre les deux, le modèle le plus récent est sans hésitation le meilleur choix.

Note : au moment de notre test, tout le monde parle de la guerre commerciale entre les États-Unis et la Chine, et Huawei est particulièrement touché. Le fabricant affirme cependant qu’il ne devrait pas y avoir de limitations en ce qui concerne les mises à jour logicielles ou l’utilisation des applis, pour tous les modèles qui sont actuellement disponibles et qui ont été vendus.
