Also a success with 15 inches? Following our review of the ThinkPad P70, we have a look at the smaller ThinkPad P50 from Lenovo. The two devices are very similar in many respects, but there are also important differences. Those include the display as well as the more complex maintenance, but also the longer battery runtimes. Our review unit also has a problem with the Turbo Boost most of the time.

Dépassé ? Le nouveau ThinkPad P50s de Lenovo est le successeur du ThinkPad W550s. Même s'il possède des dimensions réduites, les utilisateurs de ce portable de travail sont supposés disposer de performances suffisantes. You aren’t going to find a laptop with better build quality, input, I/O, and overall performance anytime soon, in my opinion. The next contender to beat the P1 / X1 Extreme is likely simply to be the next iteration of this model. Lenovo just needs to step up their support game and ensure that their updates are being thoroughly tested before being pushed out to end users. If you are looking for a reliable, powerful, and well-designed laptop for professional uses and some gaming, I still highly recommend buying the P1 or X1 Extreme.

EN→FRWe have just talked about the cooling limitations of this notebook. Considering the physical restraints, we are pretty happy with both what we found on the inside, and the way the cooling setup is utilized. Lenovo uses the Windows power profiles to set their own within the Commercial Vantage app. In addition, upgradeability is on a high level with two SODIMM slots for DDR5 RAM in dual-channel mode, as well as up to two M.2 PCIe x4 slots for Gen 4 SSDs in RAID mode. Yes, it is not as populated as that of the HP ZBook Fury 16 G9, or Lenovo’s own ThinkPad P15 Gen 2. But let’s remind ourselves that the two machines we’ve just listed come with significantly bulkier bodies. To this already long list of good features, we can add the battery life – 15 hours of Web browsing, or 10.5 hours of video playback on a single charge. The fantastic input devices will make sure that you get the greatest user experience, while the two front-firing speakers will produce a very good sound. All in all, this is not the best laptop in one exact parameter, but it is a fantastic all-rounder, that comes with a huge hardware potential curve.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" de la légende anglaise, novo (latin) pour nouveau) a été fondée en 1984 en tant que société chinoise de commerce d'ordinateurs. En 2004, la société était le plus grand fabricant d'ordinateurs portables en Chine et, après l'acquisition de la division PC d'IBM en 2005, le quatrième au monde. En plus des ordinateurs de bureau et des ordinateurs portables, la société fabrique des moniteurs, des projecteurs, des serveurs, etc., et se spécialise dans le développement, la fabrication et la commercialisation d'électronique grand public, d'ordinateurs personnels, de logiciels, de solutions d'entreprise et de services connexes.
En 2016, l'entreprise s'est classée au premier rang mondial des ventes d'ordinateurs. Il le détenait encore en 2023 avec environ 23% de part de marché mondiale. Les gammes de produits importantes sont Thinkpad, Legion et Ideapad.
En 2011, elle a acquis une participation majoritaire dans Medion AG, un fabricant européen de matériel informatique. En 2014, Motorola Mobility a été racheté, ce qui a donné un coup de pouce à Lenovo sur le marché des smartphones.
Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.

Carte graphique du milieu de gamme pour les portables professionnels, basée sur la GTX 1650 grand public, mais avec moins de nuanceurs. Elle utilise de ce fait l'architecture Turing sans Ray Tracing ni cœurs Tensor.
NVIDIA RTX A1000 Laptop GPU:
Carte graphique professionnelle de milieu de gamme pour ordinateur portable basée sur la puce Ampere GA107 avec 2 048 cœurs CUDA. Similaire à la GeForce GTX 3050 grand public avec des pilotes certifiés. Disponible en différentes variantes de performance allant de 35 à 95 W TGP (consommation électrique maximale).
Ces cartes graphiques devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux récents (avec quelques exceptions) en haute résolution avec un bon niveau de détail.

Intel Raptor Lake-H:
i7-13700H: CPU mobile basé sur Alder Lake avec 6 cœurs de performance et 8 cœurs efficaces. Les cœurs de performance offrent l'hyper threading, ce qui permet de traiter 20 threads. L'horloge du processeur peut atteindre 5 GHz. Par rapport à l'i9-13900HK, il n'y a pas d'overclocking facile, mais un ensemble complet de fonctions de gestion vPro.
