It is not difficult to recommend the Oukitel WP9 over its other rivals at this price especially if you need/care about the oversized battery. The hardware that powers it offers good performance at times but perplexing numbers at others, which points to an unbalanced specification sheet. As such, expect Oukitel to slash the price of the WP9 sooner rather than later especially as Amazon Prime Day looms. Other than the pricing conundrum, the WP9 needs to have Android 11 to be taken seriously. Will it come in a future update? We wouldn’t count on it given the poor historical record of Chinese rugged smartphone vendors in general when it comes to firmware.

The device still performs as you'd expect a rugged phone would despite its compromises. Meanwhile, if you’re in the market for phones that you don't need to plug into a power outlet for a few days, I have a feeling that these shortcomings won't be much of a concern for you. Vous ne pouvez pas vous attendre à des performances dignes d'un flagship sur un smartphone à moins de 300 euros, et encore moins sur un smartphone doté d'une grosse batterie ou d'un gros haut-parleur. La marque a probablement dû faire des concessions afin de proposer une fiche technique solide et d'atteindre ce niveau de prix tout en laissant assez de place dans le châssis pour y caler tous les composants. Si vous êtes à la recherche d'un smartphone rapide, il n'est pas facile de justifier le choix du Oukitel WP22. Mais, si vous avez besoin d'un smartphone qui a une très bonne autonomie et un haut-parleur surpuissant, alors le WP22 est probablement le produit idéal pour vous.

As with all rugged phones, this has a very specific use case. It is very good at completing tasks where you would be outside, on a building site or in an otherwise dirty or dangerous environment. Dropping it in such areas, assuming you don't lose it in the process, will likely result in absolutely no damage to the device, although I do wonder how the polycarbonate backplate will hold up after prolonged use and exposure to rough environments, but there's also a TPU case included if owners are worried about damaging or scratching the camouflage print.. As I have said in previous rugged phone reviews, you can probably forget about using it as a main phone and sticking it in your Bermuda shorts or pant pockets. If you do, however, the ever-present risk of being pantsied by your own phone will haunt you. This is true even for a big guy like myself, it is proper heavy at 328 g. In fact I opted to keep it in my backpack when I was out shooting pictures with it.

For the $399 that Oukitel is asking for, the WP30 Pro is an imposing device that combines full IP68/69 water and dust-resistant experience, good cameras, and a great battery life. It might have been even lighter, and a few features feel like gimmicks, but its underlying technology is excellent

Oukitel:

La plupart des jeux pas trop demandants actuels peuvent tourner de façon fluide. soyez prêts à endurer un rendu graphique assez moche à cause de la basse résolution et des détails au minimum. Par ailleurs ces cartes sont suffisantes pour un travail de bureau et le visionnage de vidéos (pas évident pour la vidéo HD).

ARM Mali-T880 MP2:

Solution graphique mobile pour tablettes et smartphones, que l'on peut trouver dans les SoC ARM (pour la plupart des appareils basés sur Android). Le Mali-T880 peut être construit avec 1 à 16 clusters, alors que la version MP2 comporte 2 clusters/cores.

Imagination PowerVR GM9446:

Carte graphique de classe moyenne pour les smartphones qui est intégrée dans les SoCs ARM. Prend en charge OpenGL ES 3.2, Vulkan 1.1, OpenCL 1.2 et Android NN HAL. Les performances devraient être légèrement supérieures à celles d'un Adreno 430.

Carte graphique intégrée de milieu de gamme avec 4 clusters. Basée sur l'architecture Valhall.

ARM Mali-G76 MP4:

ARM Mali-G77 MP9:

Carte graphique intégrée basée sur l'architecture Valhall. Utilise 9 des 16 clusters possibles et, selon ARM, offre des performances et une efficacité 30% supérieures à celles d'un Mali-G76.

Seuls les vieux jeux peuvent tourner de façon fluide sur ces ordinateurs (S'ils ne sont pas trop gourmands en ressources). Les coeurs à mémoire partagée de cette catégorie ont l'avantage d'être moins chaud et moins gourmand en énergie. Pour le bureau, internet, l'édition de photos, et le montage vidéo ces cartes graphiques n'ont aucune restrictions.

Ses cartes graphiques ne sont pas faites pour le jeu. Et même si ils tournent, ce sera avec des erreurs d'affichage et un framerate ignoble. Ce cartes graphique sont totalement incompatible avec les joueurs! les applications de bureau et d'Internet, ne sont pas un problème pour ces cartes graphiques.

Intègre un modem LTE (4G) cat 12 (réception) / Cat 13 (envoi), une puce graphique IMG PowerVR 9446, et un processeur dédié à l'intelligence artificielle.

Helio G95:

SoC octa-core basé sur l'ARM avec 2x grands noyaux ARM Cortex-A76 et 6x petits noyaux ARM Cortex-A55 à faible consommation d'énergie. Tous cadencés jusqu'à 2,05 GHz. Intègre un modem LTE Cat-12 (4G) et une carte graphique ARM Mali-G76 cadencée à 900 MHz (+100 MHz par rapport au G90T identique).

Helio G99:

SoC octa-core basé sur ARM avec 2x gros cœurs ARM Cortex-A76 et 6x petits cœurs ARM Cortex-A55 économes en énergie. Le tout cadencé à 2,2 GHz. Il intègre un modem LTE Cat-13 (4G) et une carte graphique ARM Mali-G57 MP2. Par rapport à l'ancien Helio G96, le G99 est fabriqué selon le processus plus récent de 6 nm et affiche des fréquences plus élevées.

Le Dimensity 800 est un SoC rapide de milieu de gamme avec un modem 5G intégré. Il comprend quatre cœurs ARM Cortex-A76 rapides jusqu'à 2 GHz et quatre cœurs Cortex-A55 efficaces en puissance jusqu'à 2 GHz.

Dimensity 700:

Le Dimensity 700 est un SoC rapide de milieu de gamme avec un modem 5G intégré. Il comprend deux cœurs ARM Cortex-A76 rapides jusqu'à 2,2 GHz et six cœurs Cortex-A55 économes en énergie jusqu'à 2 GHz.

Dimensity 8050: Le Dimensity 8100 est un processeur de milieu de gamme avec modem 5G intégré. Le processeur intègre quatre cœurs ARM Cortex-A78 rapides pouvant atteindre 2,85 GHz et quatre cœurs Cortex-A55 efficaces pouvant atteindre 2 GHz.

Dimensity 6100+: Le Dimensity 6100 Plus est un SoC de milieu de gamme inférieur avec modem 5G intégré. Il comprend deux cœurs ARM Cortex-A76 rapides cadencés à 2,2 GHz et six cœurs Cortex-A55 économes en énergie cadencés à 2 GHz. Les spécifications sont similaires à celles de l'ancien SoC Dimensity 700 et presque identiques à celles du 6020.
