Test du Minisforum EliteMini HM90 : PC de bureau avec APU AMD Ryzen rapide

Minisforum n'est pas encore très connu dans ce pays. Néanmoins, le fabricant chinois propose depuis un certain temps déjà des mini-PC pour le bureau. Avec le EliteMini HX90, Minisforum a maintenant un petit PC de jeu dans son portefeuille. Cependant, ce produit a suscité de nombreuses critiques de la part du fabricant.

Le Minisforum EliteMini HM90 est principalement destiné à une utilisation bureautique et multimédia. Toutefois, selon le site Web du fabricant, il devrait également être en mesure d'atteindre des fréquences d'images jouables dans des titres plus ou moins modernes. Nous y reviendrons plus tard. Le site AMD Ryzen 9 4900H est au cœur du mini-PC et fournit un niveau de performance décent. Dans l'ensemble, l'AMD Ryzen 9 4900H de l'EliteMini HM90 est assez performant. Le mini-PC peut être acheté en kit ou préconfiguré avec de la RAM et un SSD. Actuellement, vous devrez débourser 419 euros (~475 $) pour le système barebones. La configuration avec 32 Go de RAM et un SSD de 512 Go, en revanche, coûte 659 euros (~$765). Le système est expédié directement de Chine sans frais. Toutefois, la taxe d'importation de 19 % s'applique à toute importation en Allemagne. Le Minisforum EliteMini HM90 est également listé avec un processeur AMD Ryzen 5 4600Hbien qu'il soit actuellement en rupture de stock et que son prix ne soit pas beaucoup plus élevé que celui de la version équipée de l'APU Ryzen 9 que nous examinons

Notre appareil est équipé de 16 Go de RAM et d'un SSD de 256 Go. Le PC est livré avec Windows 10 Professional (ce qui n'est pas le cas du kit barebones). Le tout est contenu dans une petite mallette dont les démissions sont les suivantes : 149 x 55 x 149 (LxHxP) millimètres. Ainsi, le Minisforum EliteMini HM90 est un peu plus grand que le Cubi 5 M10 de MSI. Mais le NUC 10 d'Intel est un peu plus compact en termes de dimensions

Le Minisforum EliteMini HM90 est livré dans une boîte solide avec tous les accessoires nécessaires pour mettre le système en marche. Le bloc d'alimentation USB-C, relativement grand, est très visible. En outre, dans la boîte, on trouve deux plaques d'adaptation pour installer deux SSD supplémentaires de 2,5 pouces dans l'EliteMini HM90. Un support Vesa pour le fixer à un moniteur est également présent, c'est presque un standard pour ces mini-PC. Cela vaut la peine d'y jeter un coup d'œil si le EliteMini HM90 n'est pas votre premier choix.

Boîtier et connectivité

Le boîtier est en aluminium. Cependant, le dessus et le dessous sont en plastique. Le Minisforum EliteMini HM90 ne présente aucun problème de rigidité. Pour une meilleure sensation, cependant, il aurait été préférable que la partie supérieure soit également en aluminium. Mais il ne s'agit que de pinailler, car il n'y a pas de défauts visibles. Le couvercle supérieur en plastique est assorti au corps en aluminium en termes de couleur. Les couleurs blanche et argentée dominent, ce qui est une bonne chose, car la poussière ne se voit pas immédiatement sur les couleurs claires. Ce n'est pas le cas des couleurs sombres

L'appareil peut être ouvert en retirant la plaque inférieure. Quatre petites vis relient la plaque inférieure au boîtier. La RAM, le SSD et le module Wi-Fi sont facilement accessibles une fois la plaque inférieure retirée. Il est possible de poursuivre le démontage, bien que le fabricant ait recouvert les câbles d'antenne du module Wi-Fi d'une sorte de colle qu'il faut d'abord retirer. Il y a un risque de déchirer les câbles, c'est pourquoi nous nous sommes abstenus de le faire dans ce cas. Un démontage supplémentaire n'est pas non plus nécessaire, car selon le fabricant, le refroidisseur du CPU ne doit pas être retiré, car cela pourrait endommager l'APU. En termes de ports externes, le EliteMini HM90 offre de nombreuses options pour connecter des périphériques supplémentaires. Un total de cinq ports USB-A est plus que suffisant. De plus, un port Type-C est également disponible en façade. Les écrans externes peuvent être connectés via DisplayPort ou HDMI. Mais le port USB-C offre également la possibilité de sortir des images à l'aide d'un adaptateur approprié. Ainsi, vous pouvez connecter simultanément jusqu'à trois écrans au Minisforum EliteMini HM90.

Performance - Beaucoup de réserves

Comme il a déjà été mentionné, le mini forum EliteMini HM90 est livré avec un AMD Ryzen 9 4900Hqui est un APU pour ordinateur portable économe en énergie et qui peut être refroidi sans problème. Les performances du 8-core sont tout à fait suffisantes à tous les égards pour une utilisation quotidienne en bureautique ou en multimédia. En fait, l'APU peut gérer des tâches simples avec une grande facilité. Mais comme le dit le proverbe, il vaut mieux avoir que d'avoir besoin, comme nous le savons tous. Les 16 Go de RAM DDR4 à double canal conviennent bien au système et offrent le meilleur niveau de performance. Vous pouvez être divisé sur le SSD, mais 256 Go sont suffisants pour une construction de démarrage. Grâce au système d'exploitation préinstallé, le Minisforum EliteMini HM90 est prêt à fonctionner après quelques minutes de configuration et de personnalisation.

Processeur

Le site AMD Ryzen 9 4900H appartient à la série Renoir et est basé sur le Zen2. Le SoC offre un total de 8 cœurs avec 16 threads, ce qui est particulièrement utile pour les applications multi-threads. Dans les benchmarks CPU, le Ryzen 9 4900H est capable de surpasser la plupart de ses concurrents. Les performances à un seul cœur sont à peu près au même niveau que celles du processeur Intel Core i7-10710U que l'on trouve dans l'Intel NUC 10. Notre échantillon d'étude peut également se maintenir étonnamment bien avec le Zotac Magnus One en termes de performance CPU, étant donné que le portable de jeu compact est livré avec un CPU de bureau.

L'AMD Ryzen 9 4900H a un TDP de 45 W. Cependant, la limite de puissance peut être augmentée jusqu'à 54 watts dans le BIOS du Mini Forum EliteMini HM90. Cela étant dit, nous n'avons pas constaté d'amélioration significative des performances dans notre examen après le passage à la limite de puissance plus élevée.

Cinebench R15 multi-boucles

Dans la boucle multi-core Cinebench R15, le Minisforum EliteMini HM90 parvient à gérer très bien l'AMD Ryzen 9 4900H et à fournir un bon niveau de performance. Avec un score moyen de 1880 points, notre appareil de test s'en sort plutôt bien. Par rapport au benchmark unique, le résultat est inférieur d'environ 100 points. Dans le cas duNUC Intel Ghost Canyon l'écart de performance est un peu plus important avec 130 points.

Performance du système

Le Minisforum EliteMini HM90 révèle sa puissance dans les benchmarks synthétiques. Notre appareil de test bat facilement le Intel NUC 10 avec le Intel Core i7-10710U. En comparaison avec le NUC Intel Ghost Canyon et le Zotac Magnus One notre appareil n'est pas aussi performant. La raison en est l'absence de carte graphique dédiée, ce qui explique pourquoi les performances sont plus faibles dans les benchmarks synthétiques. Le Minisforum EliteMini HM90 ne présente pas de pics de latence sous charge et pendant la lecture de vidéos 4K. Les latences augmentent toutefois légèrement après le démarrage de la vidéo 4K. Néanmoins, nous avons supposé un résultat légèrement meilleur en raison des performances. Les pilotes ne semblent pas encore être parfaitement optimisés ici

Mémoire de masse

Notre système de test s'écarte un peu des systèmes préconfigurés figurant sur la page de la boutique du fabricant en disposant d'un SSD NVMe de 256 Go. Si vous ne commandez pas un système barebones, vous obtiendrez toujours un SSD de 512 Go, ce qui devrait suffire à la plupart des utilisateurs pour le moment. Notre modèle de 256 Go est parfait pour la plupart des scénarios d'utilisation. Dans l'examen, notre modèle avec le SSD Kingston a donné des résultats décents. Il est possible d'installer jusqu'à trois disques SSD dans le Mini Forum EliteMini HM90. Vous pouvez utiliser un disque M.2 2280, qui est déjà installé dans notre système. Vous pouvez également installer deux SSD de 2,5 pouces, qui sont vissés sur la plaque inférieure et directement reliés à la carte mère par des câbles. Tous les supports, vis et câbles sont inclus.

Carte graphique

L'unité graphique intégrée de l'AMD Ryzen 9 4900H est connue sous le nom de AMD Radeon RX Vega 8. Les iGPU des APU mobiles Ryzen existent déjà depuis quelques années, ce qui se reflète également dans leurs performances. Alors que les iGPU d'AMD étaient initialement très compétitifs par rapport aux iGPU d'Intel, les GPU intégrés d'AMD sont battus par les actuels iGPU Intel Iris Xe que l'on trouve dans les derniers SoC Tiger Lake. Malheureusement, le Minisforum ne peut utiliser que le matériel largement disponible sur le marché. En ce qui concerne les performances du GPU, le AMD Ryzen 9 4900H est à peu près aussi bon qu'il peut l'être.

Minisforum utilise un ventilateur axial pour le EliteMini HM90, qui aspire l'air froid par le haut et le dirige vers le bas sur le dissipateur thermique, de sorte que l'air chaud puisse s'échapper par les côtés du boîtier. Le système fonctionne bien et nous n'avons constaté aucune baisse de performance due à des limitations thermiques lors de notre examen. En cas d'utilisation sur un bureau, les utilisateurs doivent veiller à ne rien placer sur le dessus de l'appareil afin de pouvoir aspirer suffisamment d'air frais. Le fabricant affirme utiliser du métal liquide pour refroidir le CPU. Cependant, nous n'avons pas pu le vérifier car le démontage du système peut entraîner des dommages au SoC. À pleine charge, les températures du CPU ont atteint 86,3 °C (187,34 °F), bien que l'iGPU ait été légèrement plus froid à 74 °C (165,2 °F). Cela signifie que le SoC ne devient jamais trop chaud. Si le SoC est soumis à une charge moyenne, les températures sont encore plus basses. Sous une charge soutenue, les performances sont restées stables. Le résultat du benchmark 3DMark11 est presque identique au démarrage à froid et ne varie que de quelques points dans les tolérances de mesure.

Bruit du système

Dans un appareil de travail, qu'il s'agisse d'un ordinateur portable ou de bureau, nous nous attendons à un faible niveau sonore, car rien n'est pire que le bruit des ventilateurs. Minisforum a fait un très bon travail ici. L'unique ventilateur mesure 75 millimètres et tourne à faible régime. Au ralenti, le ventilateur est inaudible à moins de placer son oreille très près de lui. Ici, nous avons un niveau de pression acoustique de 30,8 dB(A). Mais même à pleine charge pendant le test de stress, nous ne percevons pas vraiment de bruit gênant. À 32,5 dB(A), le Minisforum EliteMini HM90 est maintenant un peu plus bruyant, mais c'est toujours un PC très silencieux. La vitesse du ventilateur est régulée de manière très douce et il n'y a pas de hurlement intermittent dû à des vitesses élevées

Consommation d'énergie

En termes de consommation d'énergie, le Minisforum EliteMini HM90 est assez frugal, même si Intel pourrait faire un peu mieux avec ses NUC. En fin de compte, l'EliteMini HM90 avec ses 8 cœurs offre des performances nettement supérieures. Dans le test de stress GPU, le Zotac Magus One et aussi le NUC Intel Ghost Canyon luttent avec des conditions inégales en raison de la carte graphique dédiée, donc nous ne devrions pas trop lire dans ce domaine. Cependant, nous n'avons pu extraire qu'un maximum de 85 watts de notre système de test, ce que l'alimentation relativement importante de 120 watts peut facilement gérer. Comme notre configuration ne comprend pas de disque de 2,5 pouces, il reste une marge de manœuvre suffisante

Examen du Minisforum EliteMini HM90, fourni avec l'aimable autorisation de Minisforum

Le Minisforum EliteMini HM90 est un mini PC très compact qui, de par ses caractéristiques, est plus polyvalent qu'un PC de bureau classique. Avec l'AMD Ryzen 9 4900H, le petit PC offre un très bon niveau de performance dans les applications multithreadées. Grâce aux avantages du Zen2, les performances en single-core sont également d'un bon niveau et peuvent rivaliser avec les SoCs Intel Comet Lake-U. Notre appareil de revue dispose de 16 Go de RAM et d'un SSD de 256 Go, et il offre des performances plus que suffisantes pour une utilisation quotidienne au bureau. En fait, le SoC est à peine utilisé dans la plupart des cas. Cependant, il est bon d'avoir un système très résistant à l'avenir. S'il était associé à une carte graphique dédiée, le Minisforum EliteMini HM90 pourrait très bien faire office de PC de jeu compact. C'est pourquoi l'absence d'un port Thunderbolt limite quelque peu son utilisation.

Le Minisforum EliteMini HM90 est un ordinateur polyvalent très puissant qui peut gérer bien plus que de simples tâches de bureau. L'AMD Ryzen 9 4900H est pleinement utilisé par le système.

Ceux qui souhaitent utiliser le petit PC comme une boîte de streaming dans leur salon seront positivement surpris par son silence. En outre, le SoC assure un bon niveau de performance multimédia. Même siseul un iGPU est disponible, le Minisforum EliteMini HM90 peut être utilisé pour jouer à un ou deux jeux. Cependant, vous devrez accepter quelques sacrifices en termes de résolutions ou de paramètres visuels dans les titres plus récents. Cependant, l'APU AMD Ryzen gère les jeux occasionnels avec facilité.

La combinaison de couleurs argent et blanc sera attrayante d'un point de vue purement esthétique. Minisforum ne propose pas d'autre couleur de boîtier pour le EliteMini HM90. Dans l'ensemble, nous n'avons rien de mauvais à dire sur l'apparence du système. Parce qu'il n'y a pas de plastique noir brillant, le EliteMini HM90 ne va pas avoir beaucoup de micro-rayures clairement visibles.
