EN→FRThe Moto G (2026) is easy to understand on paper - it's a $200 5G phone that's actually widely available unlocked in the US, and it comes from a brand with a strong retail presence and a clean Android skin. In a market where decent sub-$250 options aren't exactly overflowing, that alone will be enough for some buyers. The same is mostly true for the Moto G Play (2026) as well, though it comes with even more compromises for not a lot of monetary savings. And to be fair, Motorola did get a few things right. The design is classy and well put together, the eco-leather finish feels nice, and you still get the increasingly rare combo of a dedicated microSD slot, a 3.5mm jack and FM radio.

EN→FRAfter using the Moto G Play (2026), I came away thinking it does exactly what it’s supposed to do for the price. It lasts forever on a charge, feels nicer in the hand than a sub-$200 phone has any right to, and handles basic tasks without major frustration. If your needs are light and your budget is tight, it’s easy to understand why this phone makes sense. That said, the Moto G Power (2026) looks like the version that fixes most of the compromises I had to accept with the Play. The jump to a Full HD display alone should make a big difference day to day, and the extra RAM, better camera hardware, faster charging, and wireless charging all add up to a phone that should feel far less limiting over time. If I were buying a phone purely as a secondary device or for someone with very basic needs, I’d still be comfortable recommending the Moto G Play.

EN→FRThe Moto G (2026) is exactly what you’d expect from a $200 phone. Battery life is excellent, but performance is sluggish and the display comes with clear compromises. It still holds some advantages over the Galaxy A16, including a brighter, smoother screen and longer endurance. That said, I’d easily take the Galaxy A16’s higher resolution over the Moto G’s smoother display. Watching 720p YouTube videos is a dealbreaker for me. The A16 also offers six years of software support versus just two on the Moto G. For about $80 more, phones like the CMF Phone 2 Pro deliver a massive jump in performance and camera quality, while still matching the Moto G’s battery life. My advice is to spend the extra $80.

EN→FRThe Moto G 2026 represents what budget phones should be in 2025—honest, functional, and free of the compromises that make cheap phones frustrating to use. Motorola hasn’t tried to cram in flashy features that don’t work well at this price point. Instead, they’ve focused on getting the basics right: the phone doesn’t lag, the battery lasts, and the software stays clean. What stands out most is the lack of friction in daily use. The reviewer noted that despite slower speeds compared to flagships, the phone never froze during two weeks of testing. That reliability matters more than benchmark scores for most people buying a $200 device. Nobody expects a budget phone to edit 4K video or run intensive games—they just want something that opens apps, loads websites, and doesn’t die by lunchtime.

EN→FRThe moto g - 2026 smartphone looks flashy and new, but is really a phone made up of old tech and it performs like it. However, if you don’t worry about such things and just want a 5G phone that can take good photos and last a long time while you use it day to day, then it can be worth more to you than its price tag would have you believe.

EN→FRThe Moto G (2026) won't be for everyone. If you can afford more, a device like the Pixel 9a brings greater capabilities to the table while still not breaking the bank. And if performance and bright displays are high on your wish list, you should look elsewhere. Nevertheless, the Moto G's price is hard to beat, especially when you take the epic battery life into account. Camera performance is certainly good enough for a phone this cheap, and if that's important to you, Motorola's new model blends affordability with enough key features to justify what you do give up.

EN→FRThe 2026 Motorola Moto G is an affordable and attractive Android phone that handles the basics well enough. That said, it falls short on audio, camera, and display quality, all of which detract from the overall experience. Additionally, Motorola offers a significantly shorter software support window than its competitors. So while the Moto G's stylish design and low price are appealing, you'll get a lot more for the same $200 with the Samsung Galaxy A16, which is simply a better phone all around and our Editors' Choice in this price range.

EN→FRThe Motorola Moto G (2026) arrives as a budget 5G phone announced on November 5, 2025. It has a tall and comfortable design at 167.2 mm in height, a soft eco-leather back, and Gorilla Glass 3 protecting the front. The phone is also water-repellent, which adds some peace of mind for daily use. On the front, you get a 6.7-inch IPS LCD screen with 720 × 1604 resolution, a 262 ppi density, and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The display can reach 1000 nits peak brightness, so outdoor visibility should be decent. The build feels sturdy for the price, and the side-mounted fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos make it feel more complete.

ARM Mali-G57 MP2:
