Afin d'abaisser la luminosité de l'écran, certains ordinateurs portables font varier très rapidement le rétroéclairage entre éteint et allumé. La fréquence à laquelle le rétroéclairage s'éteint et se rallume est normalement fixée à une valeur qui permet de rendre la variation indétectable à l'œil nu? Si la fréquence est trop basse, certaines personnes peuvent être sujettes à une fatigue oculaire, des maux de tête ou même percevoir les variations.

L'Asus ROG Phone 3 Strix Edition est un smartphone à la fiche technique qui ne laisse rien à désirer. L'absence de charge sans-fil peut être expliquée par la difficulté à la combiner avec un ventilateur, et l'absence d'étanchéité par le défi posé par l'évacuation de l'air. Mais il est possible que ces innovations arrivent avec les appareils de prochaine génération...

L'Asus ROG Phone 3 est équipé de composants impressionnants, et s'avère être à l'heure actuelle le meilleur smartphone de jeu du marché.

Le smartphone propose tout ce dont un joueur peut rêver en ce moment : SoC puissant, écran HDR 144 Hz hautement réactif et lumineux, stockage ultra-rapide, bons haut-parleurs, divers moyens pour connecter les écouteurs, et nombre d'accessoires. Sans parler des gadgets comme les LED intégrées...

Il y a cependant quelques choix qui peuvent être critiqués. La luminosité minimale est trop élevée, et malgré sa très bonne autonomie, le smartphone aurait pu être un peu plus efficient. Ceux qui voudraient profiter de la VoLTE ou des appels Wifi devront patienter, ces fonctionnalités devant être permises dans une mise à jour prochaine. Et même si les appareils photo sont bons, ils ne peuvent concurrencer ceux des fleurons actuels.
