Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion)

Afin d'abaisser la luminosité de l'écran, certains ordinateurs portables font varier très rapidement le rétroéclairage entre éteint et allumé. Le rétroéclairage de l'écran scintille à la fréquence de 25250 Hz (certainement du fait de l'utilisation d'une MDI - Modulation de largeur d'impulsion) à un niveau de luminosité inférieur ou égal à 30 % . Aucun scintillement ne devrait être perceptible au-dessus de cette valeur.

La fréquence de rafraîchissement de 25250 Hz est élevée, la grande majorité des utilisateurs ne devrait pas percevoir de scintillements et être sujette à une fatigue oculaire accrue.

Verdict - Le PC portable multimédia de Honor fait bien les choses

Avec le MagicBook Pro, Honor fait bien les choses. C'est un bon PC portable multimédia, avec un robuste châssis en aluminium, un écran mat honnête, et assez puissant pour les tâches multimédias classiques. Si vous cherchez une machine polyvalente, alors vous pouvez choisir celui-ci sans hésitation !

Nous ne pouvons trouver de vrai défaut qui pourrait décourager un achat. Les ventilateurs sont sans doute l'aspect le plus critiquable, puisqu'ils produisent un bruit plutôt aigu quand ils tournent vite. En pratique cependant, cela sera rare, les deux ventilateurs étant presque toujours éteints lors de l'exécution de tâches normales, et les courtes sollicitations ne nécessitent pas leur activation.

En comparaison avec des appareils plus chers comme le Dell XPS 15, il faudra compter sans Thunderbolt 3, mais on peut se passer d'adaptateur grâce à la présence de ports USB A et HDMI.

Pour environ 900 €, le MagicBook Pro est à recommander, pour ceux qui cherchent un portable multimédia réussi sans vouloir jouer. Il y a de meilleures alternatives, mais l'ensemble, et en particulier le rapport performances / prix, est vraiment convaincant.

Mis à part les ventilateurs légèrement gênants en cas de sollicitations, on retrouve quelques autres petits défauts, comme les haut-parleurs médiocres, le positionnement de la webcam, et le mode Performances de l'utilitaire PC Manager de Honor, qui n'ajoute rien si ce n'est des ventilateurs plus bruyants. Mais ce ne sont là que des défauts mineurs, qui ne gâchent en rien notre bonne impression.
