Test du Huawei P40 Lite : un bon smartphone, même sans les services Google

Courageux sans Google. Le Huawei P40 Lite est le smartphone le plus abordable de la nouvelle gamme P40. Avec son écran de 6,4 pouces, son SoC Kirin 810 octocœur, ses 128 Go de stockage et ses quatre capteurs photo 48 MP, il se situe sur le secteur férocement contesté du milieu de gamme. Seule une chose manque : le Google Play et les Services Google. Notre test va montrer dans quelle mesure le P40 Lite brille en dépit de cette absence.

Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion)

Afin d'abaisser la luminosité de l'écran, certains ordinateurs portables font varier très rapidement le rétroéclairage entre éteint et allumé. La fréquence à laquelle le rétroéclairage s'éteint et se rallume est normalement fixée à une valeur qui permet de rendre la variation indétectable à l'œil nu? Si la fréquence est trop basse, certaines personnes peuvent être sujettes à une fatigue oculaire, des maux de tête ou même percevoir les variations.

Un grand écran, beaucoup de stockage, une bonne autonomie, Android 10, et un bon niveau de performances : en bref, le Huawei P40 Lite est un bon smartphone du milieu de gamme. Son prix officiel de 299 € paraît bien ajustée, et a déjà été baissé significativement par diverses boutiques en ligne.

Si le Huawei P40 Lite fait à peu près tout pour être un bon smartphone du milieu de gamme, l’absence des services Google est un vrai désavantage.

Tout aurait été au mieux, si ce n’était l’absence des services Google et donc du store Google Play. Même si Huawei fait de gros efforts pour réduire le fossé avec son app store AppGallery et AppSearch, l’offre est actuellement incapable de se mesurer à celle du Google Store. Ne reste donc que l’espoir que l’offre va continuer d’augmenter au cours du temps.

Il y a une autre source d’espoir, puisque Google a demandé l’autorisation au gouvernement américain de pouvoir fournir ses services à Huawei. Nous attendons la décision…
