Pour tous ceux qui souhaitent unMinisforum Venus Series NAB6 est trop cher, le Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 constitue une bonne alternative. Vous devrez cependant accepter des compromis, le fabricant ayant opté pour un boîtier métallique et le Thunderbolt.

Comme la plupart des appareils Minisforum, le Venus Series UN1245 est également disponible en version barebone, sans RAM ni SSD. En termes de couleurs, le Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 est principalement argenté, avec des éléments noirs à l'arrière de l'appareil. La base est également entièrement noire. En ce qui concerne la stabilité, nous n'avons pas pu déceler de faiblesses sérieuses. Visuellement, l'appareil est bien construit, même si, comparé au Minisforum Venus Series NAB6l'expérience haptique en pâtit quelque peu. En termes d'espace, ces deux machines ne font aucun compromis et, avec ses 12,9 × 12,8 centimètres, le Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 reste un appareil compact. Avec leMini IT11geekom montre qu'il est possible d'être encore plus petit.

En ce qui concerne le poids, avec 545 grammes, notre modèle d'essai est l'un des plus légers de la comparaison. Seul le Geekom Mini IT11 est plus léger de quelques grammes. Si vous souhaitez fixer le Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 sur un moniteur, vous pouvez le faire à l'aide d'une plaque de montage (support VESA). En fait, en ce qui concerne les interfaces externes, il n'y a rien à redire. Le Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 offre une sélection solide avec de nombreux ports USB qui se trouvent à l'avant et à l'arrière. Les moniteurs peuvent être connectés via HDMI, DisplayPort ou USB-C. Le module Wi-Fi du Minisforum Venus Series UN1245

Nous connaissons déjà le module Wi-Fi Mediathek RZ608 installé dans de nombreux mini-PC du Minisforum. En principe, le module radio offre des performances adéquates, mais en comparaison, ses homologues sont souvent meilleurs, même si ce n'est pas à un niveau très élevé. Il convient toutefois de souligner que l'utilisation d'une bande de fréquence de 6 GHz ne se traduit pas par de meilleures vitesses de transfert. En revanche, lors de notre test, nous avons enregistré des vitesses de transfert relativement stables sans aucune baisse de performance. Pour le test, nous avons utilisé notre routeur de test Asus ROG Rapture GT-AXE11000. Comme alternative, le Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 offre deux connexions filaires rapides qui permettent d'atteindre des vitesses allant jusqu'à 2,5 GBit/s.

Maintenance

Comme Minisforum vend également le Venus Series UN1245 en tant que variante barebone, il va de soi que vous devez accéder aux composants internes afin d'installer de la RAM ou un SSD. Pour ce faire, la base doit être retirée. Pour ce faire, vous devez retirer les vis qui se trouvent sous les pieds en caoutchouc. Si vous souhaitez nettoyer le ventilateur du processeur, vous devrez démonter un peu plus l'appareil. Nous vous déconseillons toutefois de démonter le système de refroidissement car le Minisforum utilise du métal liquide afin de garantir une dissipation optimale de la chaleur. A l'intérieur, le Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 offre de la place pour deux modules SO DIMM et deux périphériques de stockage de masse.

Performances - Alder Lake-H avec 8 cœurs et 12 threads

Avec leIntel Core i5-12450Hle Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 offre un bon SoC mais qui n'appartient pas aux modèles les plus récents. En utilisation quotidienne, nous n'envisageons pas de problème, car avec 8 cœurs et 12 threads, le SoC est également capable de gérer des tâches exigeantes. Un modèle identique, commercialisé par Minisforum sous le nom de Venus Series UN1265, offre un peu plus de puissance avec son Intel Core i7-12650H.

Conditions d'essai

Tous les tests de performance ont été effectués en utilisant le profil énergétique le plus performant. Les performances du SoC n'ont pas été modifiées dans le BIOS et ont été laissées en conformité avec les paramètres d'usine du fabricant. Différents profils énergétiques ont été utilisés pour les mesures d'émissions sonores et d'énergie, conformément à nos critères de test.

Processeur

Avec leIntel Core i5-12450Hle Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 offre un SoC rapide qui dispose de huit cœurs de calcul natifs et est capable de traiter un total de 12 threads simultanément. Cependant, lors du test, nous avons observé que notre modèle d'évaluation est placé derrière leAcemagic AD15. La raison en est rapidement apparue, car Minisforum limite la consommation d'énergie de l'Intel Core i5-12450H à seulement 45 watts. Néanmoins, le Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 n'a pas besoin de se cacher car les performances du processeur sont plus que suffisantes dans les situations quotidiennes. Les bonnes performances à cœur unique ne sont pas affectées par cette limitation. Les personnes intéressées par le Minisforum Venus Series UN1265, structurellement identique, devraient se tourner vers le Minisforum Venus Series N1265, dont la structure est identique à celle du Minisforum Venus Series UN1265.Minisforum Venus Series NAB6pour s'orienter.

Nous n'avons pas observé d'augmentation des temps de latence avec le Minisforum Venus Series UN1245. Que ce soit lors de l'ouverture de plusieurs onglets dans Edge ou lors de notre test de lecture vidéo en 4K, notre appareil de test s'est montré à la hauteur, haut la main. L'UN1245 convient donc parfaitement comme client de streaming pour les vidéos haute résolution.

Mémoire de masse

Minisforum a installé un SSD NVMe Kingston de 512 Go dans le Venus Series UN1245. Minisforum équipe également certains de ses autres mini PC avec ce modèle et nous avons déjà été impressionnés par ses performances dans le Minisforum Venus Series NAB6. Dans notre échantillon, nous avons observé de meilleures performances, ce qui signifie que l'UN1245 est presque certainement meilleur dans les benchmarks. Cependant, en utilisation quotidienne, les performances du SSD sont plutôt médiocres. Néanmoins, nous apprécions que le fabricant fasse un pas en avant en optant pour des SSD solides et merveilleusement performants qui ont déjà obtenu de bons résultats. En ce qui concerne le refroidissement, Minisforum a pris une nouvelle direction avec le NAB6en installant un refroidisseur avec un petit ventilateur. Cependant, avec notre Minisforum Venus Series UN1245, nous sommes à nouveau confrontés à un refroidisseur passif conventionnel. Ce n'est pas suffisant pour maintenir les performances du SSD stables sous une charge continue.

Le Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 peut être équipé d'un total de deux périphériques de stockage de masse. En plus du SSD NVMe, il y a encore de la place dans l'appareil pour un périphérique de stockage de masse de 2,5 pouces. Mais il faut faire attention à la hauteur maximale de sept millimètres.

Carte graphique

L'unité graphique intégrée se présente sous la forme d'un Intel UHD Graphics avec 64 UE. En raison des performances limitées du SoC, nous avons observé des performances moindres que sur le Minisforum Venus Series NAB6. En fait, les performances de l'iGPU ne sont utiles que pour les graphiques 2D simples. L'iGPU est tout simplement trop faible pour les graphiques 3D exigeants. Les nouveaux modèles Intel Iris Xe Graphics G7 sont un peu plus puissants, mais ils sont nettement inférieurs aux iGPU actuels d'AMD tels que la AMD Radeon 680M ou la AMD Radeon 780M.

Performances des jeux

Les Intel UHD Graphics les performances 3D limitées atténuent quelque peu le plaisir du jeu. Cependant, ce n'est pas l'objectif visé par Minisforum avec son Venus Series UN1245. Les taux d'images jouables ne sont possibles que dans les titres plus anciens. La carteIntel UHD Graphicsne peut gérer les jeux plus récents qu'à 720p avec les paramètres de détail les plus bas. Plus de puissance 3D est possible avec leMinisforum UM790 Proet saAMD Radeon 780M. Vous pouvez obtenir encore plus de performances de jeu avec le HX99Gainsi que le NUCXi7qui provient également de Minisforum. Ils offrent tous deux d'excellentes performances de jeu grâce à leurs cartes graphiques dédiées.

Dans nos mesures de volume, le Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 n'est pas tout à fait à la hauteur des standards auxquels nous sommes habitués chez Minisforum. Avec un peu plus de 32 dB(A), le système est silencieux mais toujours audible. Si l'on pousse l'appareil, il devient rapidement plus bruyant et, à 39,8 dB(A), il l'est de manière assez significative. Cependant, lors du test de stress, il est redevenu légèrement plus bruyant, atteignant un niveau sonore maximal de plus de 43 dB(A). Dans la comparaison actuelle, notre échantillon d'évaluation ne surpasse le Blackview MP200 que sous charge.

Température

Le boîtier du Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 ne chauffe que légèrement au ralenti et en charge. Les points chauds thermiques se trouvent uniquement dans la zone des évents d'aération à l'arrière de l'appareil.

Comme Minisforum n'alimente l'Intel Core i5-12450H qu'à hauteur de 45 watts, nous n'avons pas relevé de valeurs critiques lors du test de stress. Nous avons enregistré un maximum de 80 °C lors du test de stress Prime95. Lorsque le CPU et l'iGPU sont sollicités simultanément, la température maximale baisse légèrement car la consommation d'énergie doit être partagée. C'est également la raison pour laquelle nous avons enregistré des performances 3D plus faibles avec cet appareil de test, car un refroidissement plus efficace permettrait au SoC de fonctionner à 95 watts.

Comme le Minisforum n'accorde pas à l'Intel Core i5-12450H ses performances maximales, la consommation d'énergie est plutôt économique. En exécutant Fidel, le Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 n'a besoin que de 8,2 à 9,6 watts. Lors du test de stress, nous avons observé une valeur relativement faible de 73,6 watts, alors que la concurrence frôle souvent, voire dépasse, la barre des 100 watts (Minisforum Venus Series NAB6). Le bloc d'alimentation de 90 watts fourni est donc suffisamment dimensionné et peut offrir une capacité suffisante pour un deuxième périphérique de stockage de masse.

Le Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 est un mini PC discret qui convient parfaitement au travail de bureau quotidien. Avec le processeurIntel Core i5-12450Hvous disposez d'un excellent SoC, à la fois économique et capable de faire face à tout ce qui lui est demandé. Malheureusement, le SoC ne répond pas aux attentes, car la limite de puissance freine les performances multicœurs. Certes, d'un point de vue subjectif, cette limitation n'est pas particulièrement perceptible. En raison de la différence de prix par rapport aux appareils de qualité supérieure de la série Venus, vous devrez vous contenter d'un boîtier en plastique. Cependant, nous ne voyons pas cela d'un œil aussi critique que le fait que Minisforum a équipé le Venus Series UN1245 d'une très petite unité de refroidissement. Celle-ci est toujours présente et, sous charge, elle est même clairement audible. C'est dans ce domaine que nous sommes habitués à d'autres/meilleures options de Minisforum.

Le Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 est un outil de travail solide avec un excellent rapport qualité-prix.

À seulement 310 $, le Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 est très abordable et cela peut faire toute la différence. Bien sûr, il ne faut pas oublier que les 310 $ ne concernent que le système barebone et que notre échantillon d'évaluation est proposé à un prix d'environ 429 $. Mais même cela reste très bon marché si l'on tient compte de la puissance.

En ce qui concerne les options de connectivité, ce n'est qu'au deuxième coup d'œil qu'il devient évident que nous avons affaire à la version la moins chère de la série Venus. Alors que le Minisforum Venus Series NAB6 était encore équipé d'un double réseau local, vous n'avez ici qu'une seule prise réseau. Le Thunderbolt est également absent, ce qui n'était pas le cas du Minisforum Venus Series NPB5.
