Courte critique de l'Amazon Fire 7 (2019) : petite mise à jour pour la tablette abordable

Abordable mais pour des besoins limités. Après deux ans, Amazon met légèrement à jour sa Fire 7. Non seulement le SoC a été amélioré, mais le fabricant a également fait progresser la caméra avant. Mais il ne faudra pas trop en attendre. Découvrez dans ce rapport de test comment l’Amazon Fire (2019) se comporte face à la concurrence.

Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion)

Afin d'abaisser la luminosité de l'écran, certains ordinateurs portables font varier très rapidement le rétroéclairage entre éteint et allumé. La fréquence à laquelle le rétroéclairage s'éteint et se rallume est normalement fixée à une valeur qui permet de rendre la variation indétectable à l'œil nu? Si la fréquence est trop basse, certaines personnes peuvent être sujettes à une fatigue oculaire, des maux de tête ou même percevoir les variations.

En comparaison, 51 % des appareils testés n'emploient pas MDI pour assombrir leur écran. Nous avons relevé une moyenne à 9457 (minimum : 43 - maximum : 142900) Hz dans le cas où une MDI était active.

Temps de réponse de l'écran

Le temps de réponse d'un écran mesure la rapidité à laquelle l'écran est capable de changer une couleur pour une autre. Un temps de réponse élevé se traduit par une image floutée pour les objets en mouvement. Les joueurs bénéficieront de faibles latences d'affichage en jeu.

L’Amazon Fire 7 (2019) se présente comme une version légèrement améliorée de son prédécesseur. Ceux qui penseraient passer à cette nouvelle version peuvent espérer une hausse des performances de 40 %. Le châssis reste rigide et seulement de petits changements, tels des couleurs différentes, ont été effectués à l’extérieur. Le prix reste le même, à 50 $ avec des publicités – il faut payer 15 $ pour s’en débarrasser.

La mise à jour 2019 donne à l’Amazon Fire 7 un gain de performances d’environ 40 %. Cette tablette n’est néanmoins adaptée qu’aux utilisateurs avec de faibles exigences.

Il ne faut pas trop en attendre de cette mise à jour. La tablette Amazon reste une tablette pour ceux qui ont des exigences réduites. L’écran faible résolution ne peut afficher les contenus HD, et l’on ne peut jouer qu’à des jeux simples ou anciens. L’autonomie est réduite d’environ 1h, et la qualité du capteur photo ne permet de prendre que des photos occasionnelles, malgré l’amélioration de l’appareil frontal. Mais si vous cherchez une tablette bon marché capable de faire l’essentiel, alors l’Amazon Fire 7 (2019) vous satisfera. Si vous voulez mieux, il faudra chercher plus loin…
