L’Asus VivoBook Flip 14 est un convertible de 14 pouces très compact. Le processeur Core i3 inclus est largement suffisant pour la bureautique et la navigation Internet. Grâce au Turbo Boost, le processeur est aussi bon qu’un Core i5 de génération précédente. Le portable ne chauffe pas quelles que soient les sollicitations, et reste silencieux au ralenti.

Avec le VivoBook Flip 14 TP412UA, Asus propose un solide convertible de 14 pouces qui ne fait rien de spécial pour se démarquer.

Le SSD permet au système d’être réactif. Il peut être remplacé par un modèle avec une plus grande capacité de stockage - il faudra alors ouvrir le châssis, qui n’a pas de trappe de maintenance. Le clavier est adapté pour une utilisation classique, et possède même un rétroéclairage.

L’autonomie enregistrée dans notre test Wifi est moins bonne qu’avec le grand frère, et s’avère médiocre. Nous ne savons pas si Asus corrigera le problème de la consommation élevée grâce à une mise à jour du BIOS.

L’écran tactile IPS marque des points avec un bon contraste et de bons angles de vision. Mais sa luminosité maximale est trop faible, ce qui empêche d’utiliser la machine à l’extérieur. Il possède néanmoins l’avantage de pouvoir être utilisé avec le stylet Asus Pen, vendu séparément.
