Le VivoBook Flip 2020 AMD n'aurait pas pu être lancé à un meilleur moment. Les plateformes Intel de 10e génération Ice Lake et Comet Lake U ont déjà perdu du terrain face à la série Zen 2 au regard des performances brutes, et le prix généralement moins élevé des portables AMD rend les alternatives Core i7 encore moins intéressantes. On s'attend à ce qu'Intel regagne un peu du terrain perdu plus tard dans l'année avec Tiger Lake, mais les PC portables comme notre VivoBook ont le champ libre d'ici là.

En ce qui concerne le portable en lui-même, les utilisateurs n'auront pas à sacrifier les performances malgré le coût réduit de l'appareil. En revanche, on perdra quelques fonctionnalités phares telle le Thunderbolt 3, la charge USB C, le Wifi 6, et la webcam infrarouge. La plus grosse économie a été faite avec l'écran et sa couverture réduite des espaces colorimétriques, qui fait pâle figure face à la série ZenBook. Autrement, nous avons là un PC portable à prix réduit rapide et bien construit, adapté aux étudiants, aux usages multimédias et aux déplacements occasionnels.

Un convertible à petit prix qui est plus puissant que la plupart des concurrents de sa catégorie qui coûtent quelques centaines d'euros de plus. Il fait mieux que la moyenne à presque tous les niveaux, excepté son écran.
