L’objet du désir ? Le pionnier HTC a lancé sa gamme Desire il y a presque 8 ans maintenant. Depuis, la série Desire a disparu des radars. Maintenant le HTC Desire 12 essaie de se trouver de nouveaux fans. Dans notre test, nous examinons si ce smartphone double SIM à 199 € équipé d’un écran 5,5 pouces et d’Android 7.1.1 est bon ou non.

Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion)

Afin d'abaisser la luminosité de l'écran, certains ordinateurs portables font varier très rapidement le rétroéclairage entre éteint et allumé. La fréquence à laquelle le rétroéclairage s'éteint et se rallume est normalement fixée à une valeur qui permet de rendre la variation indétectable à l'œil nu? Si la fréquence est trop basse, certaines personnes peuvent être sujettes à une fatigue oculaire, des maux de tête ou même percevoir les variations.

Le temps de réponse d'un écran mesure la rapidité à laquelle l'écran est capable de changer une couleur pour une autre. Un temps de réponse élevé se traduit par une image floutée pour les objets en mouvement. Les joueurs bénéficieront de faibles latences d'affichage en jeu.

En termes de look, le HTC Desire 12 s’inscrit dans la tradition de la série Desire, avec un design réussi. Dommage que le dos soit si sensible aux traces de doigt. De plus avec 32 Go, il possède un bon espace de stockage, qui peut monter à 2 To avec une carte micro SD. L’emplacement micro SD peut être utilisé pour une deuxième carte nano SIM, afin d'utiliser le smartphone en configuration double SIM.

Le HTC Desire 12 possède un design réussi, un stockage abondant et une fonctionnalité double SIM en option. Mais il n’a pas beaucoup d’autres arguments face à la concurrence.

L’écran est agréable à lire, mais il n’est pas Full HD. Avec 1,3 GHz le processeur n’est pas particulièrement rapide, la batterie n’est pas très grosse, et l’OS (Android 7.1.1) est obsolète. C’est dommage que le HTC Desire 12 ne possède pas de scanner d’empreintes, la plupart des concurrent en ayant un.
