Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion)

Afin d'abaisser la luminosité de l'écran, certains ordinateurs portables font varier très rapidement le rétroéclairage entre éteint et allumé. La fréquence à laquelle le rétroéclairage s'éteint et se rallume est normalement fixée à une valeur qui permet de rendre la variation indétectable à l'œil nu? Si la fréquence est trop basse, certaines personnes peuvent être sujettes à une fatigue oculaire, des maux de tête ou même percevoir les variations.

Le rétroéclairage de l'écran scintille à la fréquence de 2358 Hz (certainement du fait de l'utilisation d'une MDI - Modulation de largeur d'impulsion) à un niveau de luminosité inférieur ou égal à 40 % . Aucun scintillement ne devrait être perceptible au-dessus de cette valeur.

Le Poco X3 NFC est très complet, surtout au regard de son prix, le smartphone étant disponible pour environ 230 € - et même parfois en réduction à 200 €.

Malgré son prix réduit, le smartphone Xiaomi s'avère très complet, avec même des caractéristiques dernier cri : écran 120 Hz et tout nouveau SoC. L'appareil photo est également exemplaire pour ce niveau de prix, même si nos tests montrent qu'il a ses défauts. Si le système à 4 capteurs semble réussi sur le papier, il faut avouer que les deux lentilles supplémentaires n'ont pas grand intérêt.

Le Poco X3 NFC est un smartphone complet, pour un prix réduit.

Les restrictions dans le Mode développeur et les publicités sont gênantes, et certainement non sans risques pour ceux qui sont inquiets des données privées. Mais la plupart des utilisateurs n'ont pas besoin du Mode développeur. Et ces défauts ne changent rien au fait qu'il n'y a probablement pas actuellement un smartphone aussi bien équipé pour un tel prix...

Alors pourquoi choisir un Pixel 4a ou un iPhone SE, plus chers ? Les deux font de meilleures photos, même si leurs fonctionnalités sont plus réduites. Et les mises à jour plus longues des smartphone Google et Apple en feront des solutions plus durables, le Poco n'allant sans doute pas au-delà d'Android 11. Mais au regard des fonctionnalités, le Poco X3 est clairement le champion.
