Overall, the Dell Inspiron 15 3576 is a solid entry-level offering that just needed a bit of enthusiast tinkering to shine. It won't wow you with high-performance graphics and is not going to let you render out 4K footage or do real content creation. However, what it will do is let you watch YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, browse the web and perform basic tasks with more than enough performance left on tap to keep the system feeling snappy and responsive. It is affordable and offers acceptable performance and a decent keyboard. In addition, it is not too heavy and has a bright 1080p display. The battery should last till the time your kid is done with online classes. If you feel that this laptop wouldn’t meet your demands, I suggest you look for the model with the Ryzen 5 CPU. It would be faster than the model I reviewed, but you have to shell out Rs 46,990.

You can find plenty of decent Chromebooks below $400, but relatively few inspiring Windows laptops priced that low. One exception is Dell’s Inspiron 3000 series, which comes in three screen and chassis sizes. The Inspiron 15 3000 configuration reviewed here has a 15-inch screen, starts at just $293, and rings up at $369 as tested. It boasts all of the physical characteristics of a solid low-cost laptop, but this version suffers a bit from lackluster performance and, especially, ho-hum display quality in its lower price ranks. If your budget is strict, you can abide by these deficiencies. If, instead, you can afford an extra $30 or so, you can pick up an AMD Ryzen or Intel Core version with a full HD screen that would improve your computing experience immensely.

The Dell Inspiron 15 3000 (3511) is a solid, if unremarkable, 15-inch budget laptop. It improves on many of the issues we had with the previous 3505 model, and with the inclusion of Windows 11, the 3511 is already a step above its competition. The lack of a USB-C port, the subpar speakers, and the dim display are drawbacks to factor in, but it's still one of the better 15-inch budget laptops on the market, especially when you consider it's under $400.

If you can get the Dell Inspiron for a hundred dollars off retail, then it’s a great value, as it undercuts a lot of laptops in the $400 range. The Inspiron has enough power for moderately demanding productivity tasks, like heavy web browsing or moderate multitasking, and its size, weight, keyboard, and touch screen give it a surprisingly comfortable experience. At its retail price of $580, it’s still a good performer, but the competition is stiffer. However, the Inspiron makes compromises to keep the price so low. The screen is incredibly dim, and it lacks USB-C ports by default. Its performance is on par with other laptops at its retail price, although spending slightly more can get you a better product. If you catch it on sale, you can snag an HP Envy x360 15-inch laptop for about $600. It has a great screen, better performance than the Inspiron, a fantastic keyboard and trackpad, and nine hours of battery life.

Dell's Inspiron 15 (3525) is a peppy-enough and affordable-enough home or remote work machine, but it's not very ambitious; it does little to go beyond the basics. More the concern: It’s readily overshadowed by a number of machines that outperform and outclass it. Even if the Inspiron can get the job done today, its competition has the mettle to keep doing the job tomorrow in a way the Inspiron simply can’t promise. Plus, those alternatives are much more enjoyable after work. Many of its slightly higher-end rivals have to be on sale (and frequently are) to match it on price, but the Inspiron 15 (3525) is outclassed even by some similarly priced options, making it a difficult recommendation, with the Ideapad Flex 5i and bigger HP Notebook 17 offering a better value story.

Dell est un fabricant américain (basé au Texas) de matériel informatique fondé en 1984 et l'un des plus grands fabricants internationaux en termes de parts de marché et de modèles d'ordinateurs portables. Sa gamme de produits comprend des ordinateurs de bureau, des ordinateurs portables, des systèmes de stockage, des moniteurs, des serveurs, des imprimantes, des appareils électroniques grand public et des périphériques. Dell propose des ordinateurs portables adaptés à diverses applications, telles que les ordinateurs portables professionnels, les ordinateurs portables de jeu, les ultra-portables et les postes de travail. Les ordinateurs portables professionnels Dell des séries Latitude et Precision sont une option pour les utilisateurs professionnels et les entreprises.

En 2023, Dell détenait une part de marché d'environ 17 % des ventes mondiales de PC, se classant au troisième rang après Lenovo et HP.

La plupart des jeux pas trop demandants actuels peuvent tourner de façon fluide. soyez prêts à endurer un rendu graphique assez moche à cause de la basse résolution et des détails au minimum. Par ailleurs ces cartes sont suffisantes pour un travail de bureau et le visionnage de vidéos (pas évident pour la vidéo HD).

Intel HD Graphics 405 (Braswell):

Carte graphique intégrée aux processeurs Intel Braswell (Pentium 2016), basée sur l'architecture Broadwell (Intel Gen8) prenant en charge les instructions DirectX 11.2. En fonction du processeur, la carte peut offrir jusqu'à 16 unités d'exécution. Les fréquences varient aussi en fonction du processeur.

AMD Radeon R5 (Stoney Ridge):

Carte graphique intégrée à certains APU Stoney Ridge dual-core AMD-A. Basée sur l’architecture GCN. Dotée de 192 unités de calcul cadencées jusqu'à 800 MHz. Les performances dépendent fortement du TDP (entre 15 et 25 Watts pour l'intégralité de l'APU).

Intel HD Graphics 400 (Braswell):

Carte graphique intégrée dans les processeurs Intel de la série Braswell (2016 Celeron). Basée sur l'architecture Broadwell (Intel Gen8), elle prend en charge DirectX 11.2. Selon le processeur, elle offre 12 cœurs de shaders (EU) et différentes vitesses d'horloge.

Intel UHD Graphics 605:

Intel Pentium:

SoC pour ordinateur portable intégrant un processeur quad-core Atom cadencé entre 1.1 et 2.56 GHz, un circuit graphique intégré Intel HD Graphics 405 et un contrôleur mémoire double canal DDR3L-1600.

AMD Bristol Ridge:

A9-9410:

APU Stoney Ridge le plus rapide de sa famille (TDP entre 10 et 25 Watts), lancé en 2016, il est destiné à être intégré dans des machines d'entrée de gamme. Embarque 2 cœurs processeur, un contrôleur mémoire DDR4 ainsi qu’une carte graphique intégrée Radeon R5 disposant de 192 unités shaders. TDP de 15 Watts, mais configurable entre 10 et 25 Watts.

SoC basé sur Kaby-Lake avec deux cœurs de CPU cadencés à 2,3 GHz (pas de Turbo Boost), HyperThreading et fabriqué avec un processus amélioré de 14nm.

Intel Kaby Lake Refresh:

i5-8550U:

Processeur quatre cœur Kaby Lake Refresh basse consommation. Les quatre cœurs sont cadencés entre 1,8 et 4 GHz (Turbo Boost), et supportent l'hyper-threading. Le GPU intégré est cadencé entre 300 et 1 150 MHz. Le SoC est fabriqué grâce à un procédé en 14 nm+ FinFET.

La différence par rapport à l'ancienne Ryzen 3 3200U réside uniquement dans la spécification de température maximale réduite de 95 contre 105°C.

R5 3450U:

APU mobile à quatre cœurs utilisant des cœurs Zen+ cadencés de 2,1 à 3,5 GHz et un iGPU Vega avec 8 CU fonctionnant jusqu'à 1200 MHz.

Athlon 3050U:

APU mobile qui intègre deux cœurs Zen+ (avec SMT, et donc 4 threads) cadencés entre 2,3 et 3,2 GHz. L'enveloppe thermique est paramétrable entre 12 et 25 W (15 W de base) et la Radeon RX Vega 2 intégrée monte à 1 100 MHz. Issu de la série Picasso d'APU (telle la série Ryzen 3000U).

i5-1135G7:

Processeur quadricœur à faible puissance basé sur Tiger Lake pour les ordinateurs portables minces et légers. Fabriqué selon un processus 10nm amélioré chez Intel.

i3-1115G4:

Processeur double cœur à faible puissance basé sur Tiger Lake pour les ordinateurs portables minces et légers. Les deux cœurs du CPU sont cadencés à 3 - 4,1 GHz et le GPU UHD Graphics Xe intégré cadence jusqu'à 1,1 GHz.

AMD Cezanne (Zen 3, Ryzen 5000):

R5 5625U:

APU mobile à six cœurs avec des cœurs Zen 3 cadencés de 2,3 à 4,3 GHz et une carte graphique Vega avec 7 CU cadencées jusqu'à 1800 MHz.

Intel Raptor Lake-U:

i5-1335U: CPU mobile basé sur Alder Lake avec 2 cœurs de performance et 8 cœurs efficaces. Les cœurs de performance offrent un hyper threading, ce qui permet de traiter 12 threads. La fréquence du processeur varie de 0,9 à 4,6 GHz. Le TDP est spécifié à 15 watts.
