Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion)

Afin d'abaisser la luminosité de l'écran, certains ordinateurs portables font varier très rapidement le rétroéclairage entre éteint et allumé. La fréquence à laquelle le rétroéclairage s'éteint et se rallume est normalement fixée à une valeur qui permet de rendre la variation indétectable à l'œil nu? Si la fréquence est trop basse, certaines personnes peuvent être sujettes à une fatigue oculaire, des maux de tête ou même percevoir les variations.
Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion) décelé 2232 Hz ≤ 2 Niveau de luminosité

Le rétroéclairage de l'écran scintille à la fréquence de 2232 Hz (certainement du fait de l'utilisation d'une MDI - Modulation de largeur d'impulsion) à un niveau de luminosité inférieur ou égal à 2 % . Aucun scintillement ne devrait être perceptible au-dessus de cette valeur.

La fréquence de rafraîchissement de 2232 Hz est élevée, la grande majorité des utilisateurs ne devrait pas percevoir de scintillements et être sujette à une fatigue oculaire accrue.

Tout bien considéré, le Gigaset GS280 s’avère être un smartphone du bas du milieu de gamme réussi et robuste. On peut s’attendre à de bonnes performances, à une bonne autonomie, et à un écran correct. L’appareil photo suffira de manière occasionnelle, et le châssis est assez robuste pour être un peu maltraité.

Le Gigaset GS280 est un smartphone correct du bas du milieu de gamme. Mais son orientation streaming n’est pas vraiment justifiée.

Au cœur du marketing pour le GS280, on retrouve la notion de smartphone de streaming. Mais cela n’est pas vraiment justifié, d’autant plus que l’appareil ne prend pas en charge le DRM Widevine L1, ce qui l’empêche de prendre en charge les contenus FHD de Netflix, Amazon Prime et autres. Et alors que l’appareil prend en charge le QuickCharge 3.0, le chargeur n’est pas compatible, si bien que la charge prend plus de temps qu’elle le pourrait. Et l’autonomie n’est pas aussi bonne que ce à quoi nous nous attendions avec une si grosse batterie. Enfin l’écran - vendu comme très lumineux - est battu par la plupart de ses concurrents.
