Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion)

Afin d'abaisser la luminosité de l'écran, certains ordinateurs portables font varier très rapidement le rétroéclairage entre éteint et allumé. La fréquence à laquelle le rétroéclairage s'éteint et se rallume est normalement fixée à une valeur qui permet de rendre la variation indétectable à l'œil nu? Si la fréquence est trop basse, certaines personnes peuvent être sujettes à une fatigue oculaire, des maux de tête ou même percevoir les variations.

Le Honor 8X est un smartphone du milieu de gamme bien conçu et avenant - malgré son encoche. Le nouveau processeur du milieu de gamme Kirin 710 fournit assez de ressources au smartphone Honor, mais rame parfois un peu. La bonne autonomie, la faible chauffe et le GPS précis compensent ces faiblesses. De plus, le Honor 8X se prend bien en main, même si la position des boutons, l’emplacement du lecteur d’empreintes digitales et le dos plat ne sont pas idéaux en termes d’ergonomie.

Nous ne comprenons en revanche pas pourquoi le Honor 8 était déjà équipé d’un USB C moderne, et que le modèle 8X possède encore un vieux connecteur micro USB.

En ces temps d’amélioration constante des smartphones du milieu de gamme, les smartphones Honor ne possèdent pas tous le meilleur rapport qualité - prix possible. Si son prix baisse un peu, le Honor 8X peut quand même être séduisant pour ceux qui aiment les phablettes.

L’excellent rapport qualité - prix habituel aux smartphones du fabricant chinois ne s’applique pas au 8X - tout au moins à ce prix d’environ 250 €. D’autres smartphones similaires sont moins chers - en particulier le Xiaomi Mi A2 semble prometteur, et possède de meilleures performances et mises à jour, grâce à son Snapdragon 660 et au programme Android One.
