Le XMG Neo 15 peut se mesurer à la crème des portables de jeu fins et haut-de-gamme, mais ne peut battre les leaders du secteurs, les Gigabyte Aero 15X (88 %) et Razer Blade 15 (87 %).

L’impression générale se rapproche plus du MSI GS65 (86 %) ou de l’Asus ROG GU501GM (85 %).

Parmi les points positifs, on notera le châssis très compact et étonnamment rigide, qui propose de nombreux ports (si on fait exception du Thunderbolt 3 et de l’USB 3.1 Gen. 2) et un clavier mécanique. Celui-ci est un véritable argument d’achat, et place le Neo 15 au-dessus des concurrents.

Nous avons également apprécié l’écran : la combinaison de la technologie IPS, du 144 Hz et de bordures étroites rassemblent tout ce que l’on attend d’un portable cher en 2018.

Il y a également quelques défauts, comme les haut-parleurs et les émissions (température, bruit). Le Neo 15 devient à la fois chaud et bruyant en cas de sollicitations. Le fabricant Tongfang devrait également travailler sur la gestion des ventilateurs au ralenti, et la capacité de la batterie, qui devrait au moins atteindre les 70 Wh pour une meilleur mobilité.
