Réussite à bas prix. Le Chuwi LapBook SE est l’un des portables à bas prix les plus séduisants venus de Chine. Le LapBook SE possède un châssis en aluminium, un processeur quadricœur Gemini Lake, huit heures d’autonomie, et un emplacement pour SSD M.2 facilement accessible. Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion)

Afin d'abaisser la luminosité de l'écran, certains ordinateurs portables font varier très rapidement le rétroéclairage entre éteint et allumé. La fréquence à laquelle le rétroéclairage s'éteint et se rallume est normalement fixée à une valeur qui permet de rendre la variation indétectable à l'œil nu? Si la fréquence est trop basse, certaines personnes peuvent être sujettes à une fatigue oculaire, des maux de tête ou même percevoir les variations.
Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion) décelé 200 Hz ≤ 29 Niveau de luminosité

Le rétroéclairage de l'écran scintille à la fréquence de 200 Hz (certainement du fait de l'utilisation d'une MDI - Modulation de largeur d'impulsion) à un niveau de luminosité inférieur ou égal à 29 % . Aucun scintillement ne devrait être perceptible au-dessus de cette valeur.

La fréquence de rafraîchissement de 200 Hz est relativement faible, les personnes les plus sensibles devraient percevoir un scintillement et être sujettes à une fatigue oculaire accrue (avec le niveau de luminosité indiqué)

En comparaison, 53 % des appareils testés n'emploient pas MDI pour assombrir leur écran. Nous avons relevé une moyenne à 8929 (minimum : 43 - maximum : 142900) Hz dans le cas où une MDI était active.

Le Chuwi LapBook SE est un portable chinois abordable qui paraît bien plus cher et premium qu’il ne l’est en réalité. Le SSD facilement remplaçable est un petit plus, mais nous aurions apprécié avoir un port USB C.

Les périphériques d’entrée sont bons pour le prix, mais l’écran est à la traîne avec une luminosité maximale peu élevée. Les haut-parleurs sont également un point faible de l’appareil, mais heureusement la prise jack fournit un son propre. De plus, le CPU quadricœur est puissant, mais les performances du GPU, comparativement en retrait, sont décevantes.

Le Chuwi LapBook SE est un portable surprenamment bon pour son prix, mais il est gâché par un écran trop sombre, des haut-parleurs pas assez puissants, et des performances graphiques à la traîne.

Le LapBook SE coûte environ 245 €, incluant les frais de port, mais sans les taxes associées à un import depuis la Chine. Nous recommandons de vérifier les inconvénients d’importer un appareil de Chine, puisqu’il n’y a pas de garantie constructeur, et qu’il peut y avoir des taxes additionnelles.
