Le Dell G7 17 7790 possède nombre des avantages et inconvénients des Alienware m15 et m17. Les performances sont excellentes, surtout pour maintenir des niveaux de Turbo Boost suffisants sur de longues périodes, mais cela se fait au prix d’un processeur plus chaud. Le poids de l’appareil et les ventilateurs bruyants sont en revanche des points faibles par rapport au Lenovo Legion Y740 plus léger et souvent plus silencieux, équipé des mêmes CPU et GPU que notre Dell. Cela se comprend que les portables de jeu soient lourds, mais ils devraient être en compensation plus silencieux, mais le G7 17 reprend malheureusement le pire des deux mondes.
Malgré cela, le système est plus séduisant que décevant. La dalle 144 Hz de série, la maintenance aisée, la base robuste, et les nombreux ports laissent une solide première impression, même si le châssis peut ne pas sembler aussi rigide que celui de ses concurrents. Si vous pensez prendre régulièrement votre 17,3 pouces de jeu en déplacements, le MSI GS75 ou l’Acer Predator Helios plus légers devraient cependant être un meilleur choix.
Alors les défauts du G7 17 7790 sont peu nombreux, ils se font quand même remarquer. Les bonnes performances ne font pas oublier les ventilateurs bruyants, et le lourd châssis est plus adapté aux joueurs sédentaires que nomades.
