 MT6572

Le dual-core Mediatek MT6572 est un SoC ARM d'entrée de gamme que l'on retrouve dans de nombreux Smartphones et tablettes Android. Il intègre deux cœurs processeurs ARM Cortex-A7 et un circuit graphique ARM Mali-400. Les cœurs processeurs sont habituellement cadencés à 1.2 Ghz et la puce graphique à 500 MHz. En outre, le SoC intègre un contrôleur mémoire LPDDR2, un module radio 2G/3G (HSPA+), un décodeur vidéo 720p, et des modules WiFi WLAN, Bluetooth et GPS.

Performances

L'architecture Cortex A7 étant légèrement moins efficace au niveau du ratio des performances par cycle d'horloge par rapport aux cœurs Cortex-A9 et aux cœurs Krait, les performances processeur sont approximativement au même niveau que le Samsung Exynos 4210 et assimilé. La puce graphique ARM Mali-400 est une carte graphique d'entrée de gamme peu adaptée aux jeux Android 3D gourmands en ressources.

Consommation énergétique

Le caractère économe en énergie des cœurs Cortex-A7 associé au procédé de fabrication d'une finesse de gravure de 28 nm confère au Mediatek MT6572 une consommation énergétique assez faibles pour être intégré aux petits Smartphones.
