Samsung Exynos 8895 Octa
Le Samsung Exynos 9 8895 Octa est un Système sur une Puce (SoC, System on a Chip) pour les smartphones et les tablettes. Il a été annoncé début 2017, et c'est l'un des premiers SoC produit en 10 nm (avec le Snapdragon 835). Il est apparu en premier dans les Samsung Galaxy S8 et S8 Plus, et contient 4 cœurs Samsung M1 cadencés à 2,3 GHz, et 4 cœurs ARM Cortex A53 économes en énergie. Il est équipé du GPU ARM Mali-G71 MP20. De plus, un modem LTE Cat. 16 5CA 1 Gbit/s (en réception) et Cat. 13 2CA 150 Mbit/s (en envoi) et un contrôleur mémoire LPDDR4x sont inclus. Le moteur vidéo est capable de décoder et d'encoder de la 4K UHD 120 FPS H.265 et H.264, ainsi que le VP9, d'après Samsung.
Les performances des cœurs semblent être comparables à celles du Snapdragon 835, si bien qu'il s'agit sans doute de l'un des processeurs les plus rapides disponibles pour Android début 2017.
