Plus compact que le XPS 13. La conception "ErgoLift" est une réussite visuelle, et permet d’avoir à la fois une partie écran robuste et des bordures étroites sur les quatre côtés. Concernant le design, le nouveau châssis est un véritable pas en avant par rapport à la génération précédente (ZenBook UX331). Le UX333 ose être plus épais pour améliorer la rigidité, mais réduit au minimum les bordures d’écran pour être compact. Ce saut générationnel et un prix d’appel raisonnable sont sans doute les meilleurs arguments en faveur du ZenBook UX333, plus que le passage de la 7e à la 8e génération de processeur Intel Core.

La plupart des utilisateurs à la recherche d’un ultrabook de 13 pouces comparerons ce portable au Dell XPS 13 9370. De ce point de vue, l’UX333 possède à la fois quelques avantages et désavantages. Sa taille réduite, ses ports USB A et HDMI, sa version avec GeForce MX150, et son prix plus faible avec le même CPU Core i5 parlent en faveur de l’Asus. Mais l’appareil de Dell possède un écran plus lumineux, un écran tactile optionnel, le Thunderbolt 3, une charge USB C plus polyvalente, un lecteur micro SD plus rapide, et un plus grand trackpad. Le choix final est donc largement laissé aux préférences de chacun.

Le ZenBook UX333 fait paraître l’ancien UX331 daté. Il rapproche la série des alternatives haut de gammes comme le XPS 13 ou le Spectre 13 tout en coûtant quelques centaines d’Euros de moins. L’absence de Thunderbolt 3, de charge USB C et d’écran tactile pourra gêner les connaisseurs et les voyageurs.
