Lenovo Yoga Pro 9 16IAH10 RTX 5050 : essai : Une configuration qui n'est pas la meilleure

Légèrement moins cher, mais malheureusement beaucoup plus lent.

Le Yoga Pro 9 16 avec GeForce RTX 5050 est moins cher, plus frais et généralement plus silencieux que ses options RTX 5060 ou 5070 plus chères. Malheureusement, à près de 1800 € au détail, le système n'est pas beaucoup moins cher que les configurations plus haut de gamme.

Verdict - Un excellent matériel, des performances médiocres par dollar

Le modèle Yoga Pro 9 16 G10 est suffisamment digne de l'appellation "Pro" pour remporter notre prix "Top Rated". Son design, ses matériaux et ses options d'affichage de haute qualité peuvent rivaliser avec d'autres modèles prosommateurs phares tels que ceux de la série Dell XPS, HP Spectreou même le Razer Blade à bien des égards. Malheureusement, la configuration RTX 5050 d'entrée de gamme n'est sans doute pas le meilleur choix pour la plupart des utilisateurs, car elle n'est que légèrement moins chère que la configuration supérieure, tout en étant beaucoup plus lente et en offrant de moins bonnes performances par dollar.

Pire encore, opter pour la configuration RTX 5050 ne signifie pas nécessairement une plus grande autonomie de la batterie ou des ventilateurs plus silencieux lorsque vous jouez ou exécutez des charges lourdes, en dépit de ses performances plus lentes. Le Core Ultra 9 285H n'offre même pas beaucoup d'avantages par rapport au Core Ultra 7 255H moins cher, mais les SKUs avec ce dernier CPU sont malheureusement plus difficiles à trouver aux Etats-Unis. Les températures de fonctionnement peuvent être plus basses, mais ce léger avantage n'est rien comparé à la longue liste d'inconvénients de l'option RTX 5060, plus intéressante.

Lenovo et Best Buy livrent actuellement le Yoga Pro 9i 16 G10 tel que configuré dans cette revue pour 1500$ en solde. Amazon propose cette même configuration au prix de 1800 $.

Conditions d'essai

Nous avons réglé Windows sur le mode Performance et les graphiques sur le mode dGPU avant d'exécuter les tests de référence ci-dessous. Advanced Optimus est pris en charge mais pas G-Sync car le Yoga Pro 9 16 n'est pas principalement destiné aux jeux.

Processeur

Le Core Ultra 9 285H n'offre pas d'avantages majeurs en termes de performances par rapport au Core Ultra 7 255H de moindre qualité. En effet, même leurs différences sur le papier ne sont que de 100 à 300 MHz pour aucune distinction réelle dans le Yoga Pro 9 16 G10.

Lorsque nous jouons à Cyberpunk 2077, notre RTX 5050 se stabilise à 82 W contre 93 W et 98 W pour les configurations RTX 5060 et 5070, respectivement. Ainsi, la température moyenne du GPU serait sensiblement plus basse d'environ 7°C. Cela expliquerait également les températures de surface plus basses lors des jeux.

Les températures du CPU et du GPU se stabilisent aux alentours de 70°C, ce qui est assez bas pour un ordinateur portable de jeu fin. Le MSI Stealth 16par exemple, atteindrait des températures plus proches de 80°C dans des conditions de jeu similaires.

Bruit du système

Le bruit des ventilateurs lors des jeux atteint le même maximum de ~51 dB(A) que les configurations RTX 5060 ou 5070 plus rapides. Cependant, il faut un peu plus de temps pour atteindre le maximum avec notre configuration RTX 5050 et le système peut donc fonctionner plus silencieusement pendant plus longtemps avant d'avoir besoin d'augmenter les ventilateurs.

La consommation peut être aussi basse que 7 W en mode iGPU avec l'écran réglé sur la luminosité minimale ou plus de 22 W en mode dGPU avec la luminosité maximale. Dans les jeux, cependant, le système ne consomme que quelques watts de moins que les options RTX 5060 ou 5070, beaucoup plus rapides. La mise à niveau vers la configuration RTX 5060, par exemple, ne consommerait que 6 % de plus pour des performances de jeu de 20 à 30 % plus rapides.
