Le nécessaire est assuré. La série G3 est la série la plus abordable de jeu de Dell. Sa dernière itération fait bien le travail, vu son prix, même si elle ne fait pas grand-chose pour contredire les idées reçues en ce qui concerne les machines de jeu d’entrée de gamme.

Afin d'abaisser la luminosité de l'écran, certains ordinateurs portables font varier très rapidement le rétroéclairage entre éteint et allumé. La fréquence à laquelle le rétroéclairage s'éteint et se rallume est normalement fixée à une valeur qui permet de rendre la variation indétectable à l'œil nu? Si la fréquence est trop basse, certaines personnes peuvent être sujettes à une fatigue oculaire, des maux de tête ou même percevoir les variations.

Le rétroéclairage de l'écran scintille à la fréquence de 200 Hz (certainement du fait de l'utilisation d'une MDI - Modulation de largeur d'impulsion) à un niveau de luminosité inférieur ou égal à 98 % . Aucun scintillement ne devrait être perceptible au-dessus de cette valeur.
