AMD Ryzen 7 4700U
L'AMD Ryzen 7 4700U est un processeur pour les PC portables fins et légers, basé sur l'architecture Renoir. Le 4700U intègre 8 cœurs tous basés sur la microarchitecture Zen 2. Ils sont cadencés entre 2 (fréquence de base garantie) et 4 GHz (Turbo), sans SMT / HyperThreading (8 threads). La puce est gravée en 7 nm par TSMC, et en partie grâce à cela, AMD annonce des performances par Watt doublées pour ces puces Renoir. Le 4800U possède une fréquence de boost légèrement inférieure que le 4800U plus puissant, et n'intègre pas le SMT / HyperThreading.
A cause de l'absence de SMT et de la fréquence de boost légèrement inférieure, le Ryzen 7 4700U devrait être un peu plus lent que le Ryzen 8 4800U (modèle 15 W le plus puissant à son lancement). Il devrait donc facilement battre l'Intel Core i7-1065G7 (Ice Lake, 4 cœurs, 3,9 GHz) dans les sollicitations multithread. Les performances monocœur devraient être similaires (le 4800U étant de 4 % plus rapide que l'I7 dans Cinebench R20 d'après AMD). De ce fait, le R7 4700U est l'un des processeurs 15 W les plus puissants, si le système de refroidissement du portable qui l'intègre est suffisant.
En plus des 8 cœurs CPU, l'APU intègre aussi une carte graphique intégrée Radeon RX Vega 7 avec 7 unités de calcul et montant à 1 600 MHz. Le contrôleur mémoire double canal prend en charge la RAM DDR4-3200 et la LPDDR4-4266 efficiente. De plus, un cache de niveau 3 de 8 Mo est présent. L'enveloppe thermique (TDP) de l'APU est indiquée à 15 W (par défaut), et peut être configurée entre 10 et 25 W par le constructeur. Cela signifie que la puce cible les portables fins et légers - mais avec ventilateurs.
